It's about honor, I guess. The man had done me no wrong, and the quest left me no choice. I hate to be manipulated by anyone, especially daedras. I never attack people unless they disrespect me. Why do bad? It's just a game, play it your way.
Boethiah's quest requires you to intentionally trick and kill a friend or mercenary. Compared to that this quest isnt very evil, just really uncomfortable for a good character.
I would say also that not all Daedric quests involve the player being evil, with Meridia's quest arguably making you a champion of light. Some of them do offer a chioce on what path you take too, like Azura's or Hircine's. So mods like this are good.
The comment that Daedric Quests aren't meant for good characters is fair enough. I just hate being limited like that. There is a quest to destroy the Dark Brotherhood, and there are at least two mods I know of that let you destroy the Thieves' Guild. Some players want to experience some of that content without being evil, and want to get those quests out of their log book.
But no, Molag Bal would not kill you where you stand at the end of this quest. He doesn't have enough power outside of his realm, especially when dealing with an aedric entity like the player (you are literally a dragon in a mortal's body, which means you're an immortal aedric being). Molag Bal's sphere of influence should make him strong enough to force someone else to kill you (which he does do in that quest and which I did not remove), but he should not have much other power over the player character, who is essentially a lesser deity.
