So far, enjoying both your mods I have set up, they are very conveniently located close to each other. I would love to see more mods like this, to be honest, immersive merchanting mods. Thank you.
Luglu Jun 10, 2017 @ 2:27pm
Thank you!

@AnimeBannanas
I say this without checking, by recall, being years since I last played this... but the barley you germinate should be fresh barley, the one you buy on Solitude I think. The barley available on the place (to make it easier for the first batch), is already barley malt (germinated + dried). Maybe you are trying to germinate that?
Luglu Jun 9, 2017 @ 8:00pm
It won't let me germinate barley
babywillowfawn Feb 7, 2017 @ 10:20am
ok ty.. will do. but really am enjoying all your mods. will check the book. :steamhappy:
Katixa  [author] Feb 7, 2017 @ 9:56am
@babywillowfawn: I don't recall having to buy yeast. I did this mod long ago, and started to play Skyrim again recently (only used the brewery once for now), and as far as I remember, you just pick it up from the yeast pots. I guess I just did it pretending it keeps growing back itself?

Anyway just in case check the book on the table, maybe it has information about this.
babywillowfawn Feb 6, 2017 @ 5:12pm
crazy question. will the yeast show up agin or is there a place to buy it....... just wondering so i know if i have to buy it or not :steamhappy:
Fancydeathclaw Jun 23, 2016 @ 10:39am
what is the item code for malt and hops
Katixa  [author] Dec 31, 2015 @ 6:10am
@Aud☣city: If I recall correctly, you have to use the shovel next to the pool. If for some reason it's not there anymore, the marker used as selector should still be around there....
Audacity Dec 30, 2015 @ 8:38pm
I can't get the barley out of the water. Help
axelfirekirby Apr 30, 2015 @ 4:38pm

anthonyjohnadlington Apr 23, 2015 @ 5:35am
Love all your MODS i hope you are still thinking of making more or updateing your mods
Jake Apr 14, 2015 @ 12:37pm
where's the actual brewery?
Katixa  [author] Jan 1, 2015 @ 4:17am
@gamerboy2117: Hops need some time to grow. And unless you drop lots of them in the boiler, you should be able to do some batches by the time they grow back.

About the germination and crushed malt, I recommend you read again the book about brewing, because that's not the correct procedure.
gamerboy2117 Dec 31, 2014 @ 7:55am
how do you get the hops it always says that they are still flowering
gamerboy2117 Dec 31, 2014 @ 7:16am
when starting the germination it says i have no barley grains when i have the crushed barley malt
Schitzo Dec 3, 2014 @ 7:32pm
How do you enter the brewery?
Krieger Nov 2, 2014 @ 7:28am
It's good but it needs improvements:

-There should be a goal or a use to making beer other than drinking it or selling it
-There should be different recipes for beer like Dark, Amber etc.
-A few Esthetic changes to the outside and the inside

Also, the it rains inside the house.
JDaremo Fireheart Sep 28, 2014 @ 9:45am
you need to combine this with the Cider house.
It's a great looking mod but if all you do is make beer and not sell it or get drunk from it, what's the point?
Steve Sep 17, 2014 @ 10:32am
where does one get hops?
Katixa  [author] Jul 4, 2014 @ 6:02am
@Azel of Ratonera: The beer brewery is a much more simple mod than the ciderhouse. You just brew, it's not a business itself. I want to allow to sell beer on some optional mod but I don't know if I will ever do it.. still on my list.
Azel of Ratonera Jul 3, 2014 @ 6:28pm
love this and the cider house, but why cant i sell beer like cider? or am i missing something? anyway good job.
Jezus Jun 15, 2014 @ 4:21am
this is awsome and i love the ciderhouse
Matthew Apr 11, 2014 @ 9:44pm
do i need any dlc
RDewulf Mar 3, 2014 @ 3:58am
I would love it if this mod could work together with your ciderhouse mod. I love the concept of brewing in this mod, on the other hand, it still feels kinda pointless.

Anyway, subscribed. You're an awesome modder.
h Mar 3, 2014 @ 12:31am
Kaxita with another great mod, i already have the ciderhouse mod you made and this looks awesome!
KingJustin123 Feb 21, 2014 @ 8:58am

Lysander Valerius Feb 1, 2014 @ 4:43pm
how do you get yeast? -_-
Grey Wolf Jack Jan 29, 2014 @ 12:44am
Awesome
Edog Jan 5, 2014 @ 12:32pm
When will you make another mod?
Lilihulk Dec 31, 2013 @ 8:34pm
Thank you for the quick reply, and awesome mods. :)
Katixa  [author] Dec 31, 2013 @ 8:13pm
@graceparagon: Yeah, this one is much simpler, not bussiness-tycon, just... using some tools. I didn't want to get into much coding again, and that's the reason for automatic bottles, yeast, etc... The book explains only how to make beer if I recall correctly, and no need to explain much more really as all the ingredients and tools can be easily found around (after a little readme on the description here and watching the video of course, unless you want no-spoilers and adventure yourself in for autolearning).

Thanks for the comment.
Lilihulk Dec 31, 2013 @ 7:01pm
Hi. I just wanted to let you know, besides the cider house and this brewery being awesome, I did not find a second book explaining how to use the brewery like found in the cider house books. I was hoping for a hop and barley garden and just ordering the bottles... but fun. I enjoyed, am enjoying it.
Petta Dragonne Dec 15, 2013 @ 8:21pm
OK. I guess I can't use this then. I had another problem with not being able to use the grain mills, so I previously got rid of all of my mods, reinstalled the game, and then tried to use the grain mills. And it still didn't work. Apparently I'm not the only one since there's mods specifically used to get grain mills to work. I've been using the barley malt in other recipes, trying to figure out what the one characteristic is just to get some use out of the barley malt. It looks like a really neat mod and I really wanted to learn how to make beer. Oh well, some other time I guess. Thanks for making this though. It looks really neat and it looks like it was a lot of work.
Katixa  [author] Dec 15, 2013 @ 11:35am
@PettaDragonne: You should be able to us the mill. You need to be carrying the malted barley, and when using the mill it will get crushed. If this doesn't happen, it's either a bug, or a conflict with some other mod.
Petta Dragonne Dec 15, 2013 @ 10:30am
I know nothing about brewing so maybe that's part of the problem. I gathered some barley malt and I found where to turn the water on and then found how to turn the fire on. But when I go to put the barley malt into the water, it says I need 850 crushed malt and I gathered them all so I have 1100. I'm assuming I need to crush them someplace, but the grain mill does not work. So I don't know if there's something I need to do to get the mill to work (since other grain mills do work) or if I'm missing some other step.

Very fun! Between this and the cider house you have fulfilled my brewing desires! Malting the barley was a nice surprise! Never done that in the real world. Open vat vermentation, ...just like those belgians! I noticed you were a fan of Orval! The Belgian styles are my favorite! I can however see what you meant by just a tribute in comparison to where you went with the cider house. Still a blast though! Thanks again! Brings me right back!
Drakkenfyre Nov 22, 2013 @ 9:05pm
where do you find hops and yeast?

The Mechanic Oct 17, 2013 @ 12:11pm
and why the hell did u write half of it in spanish!!!!!?
The Mechanic Oct 17, 2013 @ 12:09pm
i have trust me ive spent a week + on it. no such luck can you give me an example of what u did?
Katixa  [author] Oct 17, 2013 @ 12:05pm
@The Mechanic: I recommend you visit the official Bethesda forums, under the CK category, there are lots of topics which probably will help you and give ideas. There's where I learned the little I know, and it's been many months without even opening the CK so I can't really be very specific about anything. There's also the official Creation Kit site with all the functions listed. If you want to do something specific best thing to do is do a couple searches there, and play a bit with coding creating a test-mod, it's the best way to learn.
The Mechanic Oct 17, 2013 @ 10:34am
hey why cant i view the lay out of your scripts in ck? Im trying to understand how to write a advanced script and wanted to use those as an example. I want to create somthing similar to them. aka mod them. Ill give u the credit PLEASE HELP ME . IVE FUCKING HAD IT WIHT SCRIPTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Mechanic Oct 15, 2013 @ 3:50pm
hey i need your help im trying to write a script as u did in ur mod. how do you make a script so for example you want to add water to a barrel aka what you had done. i know how to make a "message script" but not have a barrel full of water once a activator is activated. can you please give me an example. please and thanks !!!!:D
The Mechanic Oct 7, 2013 @ 2:03pm
ok thanks what about the house i need the set up as urs his. wiht the loft above.
Katixa  [author] Oct 7, 2013 @ 1:26pm
@Mechanic: I don't exactly know what you want to "copy". As long as you don't duplicate the mod for editing and post as your own, do as you want. I just used Bethesda models and wrote some scripts here and there.
The Mechanic Oct 7, 2013 @ 12:27pm
hey i need your permission for a mod that im makeing id like to make a moonshine stile. but id like to copy a few things in ur mod. ill give to the credit.
mowiewowi2 Oct 7, 2013 @ 10:17am
Dova-ale! tastes so good makes you wanna shout at your momma !
The Mechanic Oct 6, 2013 @ 9:45am
u seem to know about modding im haveing a hell of a time trying to get my new model (already in nif format) it works in nifscope but cant seem to find it in creation kit. can u help me?
Darth Dangermouse Sep 29, 2013 @ 12:46am
Maybe Add Compeating with Other Brewers Such as Honeybrew and Black-Birar
Katixa  [author] Sep 22, 2013 @ 6:22am
@d.matt.savage: Thanks for the comment. Yeah, that's on my to-do list, but I've been away from development long time. My idea was some kind of market stand, also compatible with the ciderhouse, that I even started doing long ago but halted it... I really hope to find the time and will to continue with it.
