I have updated the Rom Alpha map and added the Norden Forest. I'll be populating the rest of the map in the coming weeks:

So much for one more month back in August.

I'm starting to believe that this group of modders can't complete a project when I look at past submissions like the Runescape mod

Please tell me if you would like to join the Private Test server. Playing on it will help us improve Realm of Mistvalin.

Final stages are taking a while, we have pre-alpha versions of the map on the workshop, as well as a lrovate server running it for tests.

This map is extremely detailed, which is the cause of the time delay. But it's really looking to be done relatively soon. I'm very excited. Probably one more month.

Good news, We've finished data for all of the plants and resources that will be in the new world. We have moved the world into the final stages of production.

After this RoM update launches, we'll be moving RoM map into the Beta phase. Meaning we've for the most part finished producing the RoM Map and resources for a long time (Huge content update)

We've been polling and listening to feedback for a few months, and we're determined to improve the early game. So people can better get into the game
Coggernaut  [author] Sep 27, 2017 @ 10:25am
Right, this is something we are adressing. We are very close to finishing an update that will add/rework the early game to give new players goals to achieve when starting out.

This update will also add in new blocks designed for early game survival. Including Barricades (Walls, Corners , and Gates) as well as tents, sleeping equipment, early cooking recipes and more. These items will be available to research in a "Survival Guide" which is available inside the inventory menu. The goal is to unlock everything inside of the book. We estimate 1-2 hours of effort and you'll unlock and achieve these goals, which will also teach you how to play RoM :)

i played on the server yesterday. I really honestly have no idea what to do though. I spawned in a city but i had no idea how to do any tasks or progress at all
Coggernaut  [author] Sep 26, 2017 @ 4:15pm
Well, the mod is designed for the server, since we cant have cities generate via code. So no, it wont exactly work. While not impossible, you -can- recreate the server and then play on it. Though, then you come to the issue with character progression. The mod was designed for people to work together. So I highly recommend playing on the server

I cant seem to get this to work. I added the map mod. save. exit. reload after adding the other mods (alpha and other expansions) I find the area that is modded. it has pathways etc but no buildings or any other things loaded in, only the landscape.
Coggernaut  [author] Sep 20, 2017 @ 6:42pm
Yea, we're not trying to add water :)
suavedoggo Sep 20, 2017 @ 6:03pm
I'm pretty sure the developers have stated multiple times that the game is never getting water physics, so I wouldn't get your hopes up by waiting on it.
Coggernaut  [author] May 10, 2017 @ 10:01am
Tis compatible! Huzzah!
APolarbearVT Apr 17, 2017 @ 12:58pm
ah
Coggernaut  [author] Apr 17, 2017 @ 12:48pm
Yes and No,

For now, the game is not optimized enough for us to add more sections with this much detail.

In the far future we'ed like to expand into another chunk of the world. The concept would be a Psudo Mediterranean area. With the major powers resembling Rome and other historical kingdoms to base the factions off of. This "Expansion" wil certainly happen when M.E. releases water physics. Though it could come beforehand, but we'ed have to use water-like textured rock voxels. And this would be underwelming. . .
APolarbearVT Apr 17, 2017 @ 7:53am
is there plans to add more to the map, like the other sections?
MycroftCanadaNS Apr 16, 2017 @ 1:34pm
@[1COG] Coggernaut: Okay, thank you, I will give that a try. :)
Coggernaut  [author] Apr 16, 2017 @ 11:25am
You add the mod, then start the world, then Save&Exit. Then go load the world, go to "Mods" and add the Non-Map Mod. Then load the world
MycroftCanadaNS Apr 16, 2017 @ 10:44am
Well, it doesn't work I'm afraid. No matter the load order of the mods (alpha, and this Mod), and when I load the map mod not the alpha I get the same flat landscape... Oh well good try I guess... Now if I load both mods, and just load the Alpha as the planet things work great even without this mod... I have no idea why this is being such a pain in my behind.
MycroftCanadaNS Apr 16, 2017 @ 10:05am
@[1COG] Coggernaut: Ah okay, I got it now. Thanks. :)
Coggernaut  [author] Apr 16, 2017 @ 10:03am
Ah, essentially M.E. Has an odd feature, probably to stop the game from loading 2 map mods at the same time. You load the map mod first, then add the normal mod. This allows you to then activate both mods
MycroftCanadaNS Apr 16, 2017 @ 9:29am
@[1COG] Coggernaut: Thanks for your reply. Cool, I have both but something is really strange. When I create a new game, and I load the Map, it's just flatland with no trees, well anything. I have the Alpha Mod, and this mod installed, and I have both activated. Which mod should I be choosing for the planet? Like I've mentioned, this mod here is only shows nothing but flatland.
Coggernaut  [author] Apr 16, 2017 @ 9:15am
The mod is so big, it's larger then the maximum size that steam workshop allows 100MB. So we split it up into 2 mods. One mod (the map) is used for the world generator. It's HIGHLY suggested, but not required. Though the map allows for full RoM features an resources.

The Mod is absolutely required because it holds the bulk data. Without RoM Mod the map mod will spawn no trees.
MycroftCanadaNS Apr 16, 2017 @ 7:30am
Why are there two mods for the same mod. I don't get it. Do I need to subscribe too both, and which one needs to be active first?
APolarbearVT Mar 14, 2017 @ 2:35pm
it got unselected at somepoint... ok well thanks.
Coggernaut  [author] Mar 14, 2017 @ 2:33pm
Then you didnt activate the 2nd mod that's required :)
APolarbearVT Mar 14, 2017 @ 2:33pm
i see no trees
Coggernaut  [author] Feb 22, 2017 @ 10:26am
Thanks man! I'm going to release a claim block mod that will warn people of low claim time 10 hours before expiration. Rather then vanilla's 1 hour. I hope this helps out with servers!

And ninjor, great work you've been doing with your modding and server! I hope you keep it going, it reminds me of castle siege in a way :)
Ninjor Feb 22, 2017 @ 10:24am
Cool stuff your doing here for the community! Sweet mod man!
