not what i imagined soap would do. personally i think the effects should do is cure diseases and clean the blood off your armor and weapons. and perhaps a spell that throws soap at allies and enemies that applys the same effects. just an idea that would grab the attention of other people.

I was reading a small book about Medieval Soap Making. It uses Fats, Salts, and something called Lye, to make soap. I thought it was appropriate for Skyrim. :)
