A lot of sounds are incredibly quiet

This would go well with the sacrilege mod.

GReat, but are the Isaac pain sounds supposed to be so low volume?

Hey random qeustion but sort of connected to the mod. How did you put a spacebar at the end of hurt grunt?

@Jolteon, this totally works fine with Repentance. Is it not working for you?
Now I haven't replaced all the new Repentance sounds with classic sounds, if thats what you mean. I've been meaning to take a poll if thats what people want. I think the old and new blend well but I'm open to hearing what others think.

Is this gonna be fixed for Repentance?
Thanks for your work, by the way!

Yeah Iris, you definitely could. You can find this Mod's folder in your documents / my games folder. The path would be something like this:
C:\Users\IrisHeart\Documents\my games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods
In that folder you will see a folder called "Classic Sound Effects," which is this mod. Open that, then resources, then sfx. Now you will be at the list of sounds. Conveniently, MOST mom sounds are in their own folder. Delete all the folders but the Mom folder. Then delete all the .wavs in the sfx folder except the ones that start with Mom.

Now the mod should work just like you want. However, steam could overwrite it with my mod again, especially if I update mine. So if you take the base "Classic Sound Effects" folder, and rename it to whatever you want, then open it and delete the metadata.xml file, that should prevent it from being overwritten with the full mod again.

Hope that helps!

Is it possible somehow to only use classic Mom sounds? I miss them, but I don't want to turn my entire game sound into old one.

@ToxicBoo Thanks! Thank you for your support of this mod. I couldn't agree more, original BOI sound effects and music are so much better. Thus this mod series! As an update, I was able to complete my manual sound extraction of BOI. But they are labeled differently/poorly compared to rebirth sounds. So will be quite the manual process. I did find the bloodbank sound though, so will be fixing that soon!

I really appreciate that your improving this mod. I honestly think the new sounds in Rebirth are much worse compared to flash Isaac.

@ToxicBoo I went back and played classic BOI, and you are right, slot machine sound is incomeplete. As a labor of love, I found a way to extract sounds from the original BOI. The mod has been updated with proper slot machine sound. Bloodbank sounds slightly different, but I havent yet found the proper soundeffect replacement. Out of time for now, will investigate further later.

And re: sound volume differences, we will see if I can get my hands on my own audio extraction or other files as mentioned in previous comment. If the volume differences still exist then that is the way classic Isaac sounds I suppose. Wouldn't suprise me if Rebirth has a more stable mix. I can look into leveling the gain of the class effects to be more even.

Thanks ToxicBoo. Re: cut off bloodbank/slot sounds. I relied on a pre-existing extraction of Isaac sound effects to make this mod. I can't find another source. Let me investigate a tool or the possiblity of extracing the original sound effects myself and we will see if those sounds are still cut off.

Theres a few issues with this mod. The sound of objects or enemies spawning is really quiet. (This is most apperent in trap rooms) and when using slotmachines/ the bloodbank, the sound it makes when you first touch it is cut off.
