Hey thank you so much for making this mod! i like the infected vision but i'm really used to play without it, and this makes a perfect combo and works perfectly for how i play. Thank you! :D

thank you for this mod, the vanilla special infected vision is way too saturated but I didn't want to remove the vision because of immersion purposes.

I didn't mess with the files. but verifying the game files brought it back to normal. Thanks.

If you replaced the files manually you will need to restore them from backups you made (assuming you did), or verify game files.

Addons are disabled in versus modes, you will not be able to use them on Valve servers.
However you can use the files from this addon, download GCFScape, extract the files in the materials folder, and place those files in Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\materials\correction
To undo this, use the verify integrity of game files option in the Steam library

I've tried 3 different mods like this one to change the infected vision, but nothing's working. I've disabled the mod restriction in the config folder, so it's not that. For some reason, these mods specifically won't work. Any idea on a fix?

It's very unlikely to be caused by this. L4D2 is just an unstable game, check your other mods and verify game files.

They disabled them so the cheat mods don't affect normal game play, else everyone could have cheat mods e.g. seeing through walls, I'm sure you can live without having a soft infected vision over that

An update by Valve disabled them on official servers for versus/scavenge.

Delete:
ghost.pwl.raw
ghost.raw
infected.pwl.raw
infected.raw

Verify game cache to get them back, or make a backup first.
