Amusingly enough, I love the chance to construct 'Default Ships'.
The idea that your formulating craft never before constructed, for a faction of your own creation that people will fly with and fight beside, really gives me a mental boost.

its called power-cramming: you pack as much as you can into your timeframe (or time limit as i have also experienced) and continue whenever possible. i also discovered something else from making mods: i really dislike having to design a bunch of default ships! ah well, it's worth it in the end. double mod in the works.. stay tuned
