yea, the only thing broken at times is the star's name text but that is not too much of a issue lol

That's really impressive, and so is this mod. Part of what makes Stellaris imo are mods like these that makes the world around them more beautiful, making exploration more exciting

Honestly, can't wrap my head around the code, not enough to do something like make my own system, starting or otherwise. Stellaris sure is in some dire need of simplified tools that'd make this sort of thing easier for people like me.
I'll probably just keep holding onto this mod until it stops working.

You can actually get into modding by looking in the game files or mod files directly! Most of the scripts and data are exposed as plaintext, so you can edit them directly to experiment and tweak :)

You should be able to find Primordium's system initializer fairly easily, as it's a unique system. Shouldnt take too much effort to get it running as a starting location, though i have no idea how well it works today lol. let me know if you need help with anything :)

Shame this mod's abandoned, I'd have loved to be able to do more with the Primodium system... or have it as some sort of unique, if bizzare, starting point... but oh well. Still love using it. Now I gotta wonder if someone will ever make a mod that makes use of those special stars any.

Gigastructural Engineering, of course, makes use of O-class stars, but they're a fair bit larger. Perhaps they could be some sort of starting system thing? I'm just kinda wondering out loud. I don't know the first thing about modding like this, nor do I expect you to do it, either. That would be silly.

Hmm, Gigastructural Engineering does also make use of Supermassive Black Holes, I wonder of anyone's ever going to do an ultramassive one... probably not :p

Kepler68 - no guarantees I have to actually maintain this but I could try to update it for 3.6. Generally the localization is broken or I don't get descriptors. I can always format them to be compatible with other star mods like Real Space.

Source Code as it stands would be gr8.

As i have said, i cannot update the mod if i wanted to. The launcher no longer reads the mod id properly for this one, i'd need to upload a new file to the workshop. Additionally, I dont have the motivation to update the mod anymore and working on it is far more like a chore than the fun i was having when it originally came out. If you want to update it yourself, i'm more than happy to send you the source code for it!

Load order does not affect this mod, dont worry! That should run fine. If your having issues it's likely just the age of this mod. I cannot update it anymore due to the launcher changes that happened a few years ago.

If you want to take over and make an update, please do! I'll link it from this page :)

From what I've observed, the mod still works fine in 3.2, just the portraits are formatted wrong, and some localisation is broken. All star types appear in the galaxy, tho I don't know about the special systems.

You can do this with any mods actually. 281990 is Stellaris' steam ID, and for a specific mod go to it's workshop page and copy page url. The number at the end will be what folder it's in.

I'm not comfortable changing the number to remove that warning without going through and verifying the mod still works properly. Right now finals are coming up so i dont have the time nor mental energy to do that testing, and the switch to the new launcher broke something and i can no longer update this workshop page. If it works for you despite the warning then keep using it, but right now it's unsupported.

Feel free to go change it yourself though! In your steam folder go to Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/281990/1637213941 to access the mod files directly. If you cant find the steam folder you can go to the local files of any steam game and then just go up a layer a few times until you see things like common, downloading, temp, and workshop.

a T class brown dwarf may be the default system now, i think it used to be a G class star. hope you figure out the issue though! :)

Yes, I seen all of your new star types in the game.
When I restart an MSC savegame without your mod, in those systems where your new stars spawned, I get a starless system, and on its galaxy map view, the star type is a T brown dwarf.

I dont use real space mod.

Thanks for the info, I will inform the Giga staff too about the bug, but I wanted your opinion before that.

Another thing on line 6089 is an issue with a gigastructures while loop maxing out at 100 iterations. Its from events/giga_105_ehof.txt and may also be a source of the problem. Right after is an invalid scope error, and the log ends almost instantly after. Whatever is going wrong is in this file. Im unfamiliar with event modding, so you may have enough different planets in to overload some system and cause the issue. I have no idea though, i'd look in that file for a while loop or ask the creator about it. MSC seems to be unrelated, but if its causing the crash you can safely remove it if you run through your save file and swap the MSC stars and systems with real space alternates (assuming your also using real space)

Scanning through one big one is on line 5394 where something looked for a planet object "pc_t_star_habitat". There also are a bunch of similar errors to msc stars, have you actually seen any msc stars in game? Those are the only major errors related to MSC though. Other errors are missing sound files which... yeah thats on me, didnt remember to update those when i added new stars. It doesnt reference a file though, which is odd.
