If you get stuck let me know, but im not at my pc right now so will have to help you via what i remember.
All in all I have taken all your points in and will get to work this weekend, hopefully having something nice by the end
I like that you addressed the roof of the archmage quarters a little more than I did. (I have it as a teleport location so you can fast travel there) But I think it did need to have a few bits of furniture up there because I'm sure that the archmage would do that.
However some of the things you put up there might be a bit lore unfriendly and you may want to swap them out.
- The statues of Talos are not Lore friendly because the collage isn't tremendously nord friendly and the thalmor would probably reduce the college to rubble if they saw them. You could probably replace any non lore friendly statues with the mage statue or one of the shrines to the divines
- While I agree that some foliage would be nice up there the rock and ground pieces make it look untidy and unkept which fights the clean look that winterhold portrays. Perhaps some potted plants would be better.
- Stone or metal furniture might be better rather than the noble furniture as it's being exposed to the elements constantly.
- it's not a good idea to give away TOO much free stuff. There were a lot of valuable items lying around on the patio and on the roof... maybe cut back a little.
The only issue I had that conflicted with my mod so far (albeit I only checked in briefly) is that it looks like you tried to copy or move one of the banners in the Archmages quarters and that causes a visual snafu in my mod (I moved the banners on the walls to a different location so that I could add book cases to the entryway) Loading my mod last in the data stack will resolve that but I have some tips I could give you on how to clean modified cells for better cross mod compatibility.
