Hey this doesn't seem to be working anymore, any time I damage the truck to 100% it only restores to about 80% and launches back up to 100% after. It used to go all the way down to 0% if I drove long enough.

this stopped working on trailers as far as i know, cause it wont restore my trailers

CoRtEx that Is currently for all trailers as far as I know, I think that scs changed how the damage accumulates for trailers and this mod isn't yet updated for that, so yea, for now only the truck repairs

testing this mod in the most recent version of ats (stable build) truck got repaired, the trailer didn't. Is it because I am doing a quick job and I don't own the trailer? Although, if that logic applies then the truck shouldn't get repaired either.

Alright, tho the repairinf of the truck still seems to work fine in 1.49, just dont know about permenant damage

@Cosette I can't give you a date. I'm not playing the game at present so it's not a high priority for me. Until I see how damage is accumulated in 1.49 I won't know what this mod will and won't be able to do.

Any ideas when you will be able to opiate this to work on 1.49? Also how will this interact with permanent damage? Will that also slowly get fixed or is that out of youre hands?

1.48 truck gets repaired but the engine keeps resetting damage, i was doing a test to repair my truck from 100% damage and after it repairs about 10% it resets back to 100%, could be cuz im using a moded engine ( the C16 pack ) but im gonna test it with a base game engine and send another message

@Reconjack85 It helps us a lot when we are given good detail about problems, as well as comparative info, like you've given here.

What I think is the crucial difference in Cat's mod:

Cat's mod turns off trailer damage, so your trailer is immune to damage. Because there is no trailer damage the mod does not try to self-repair the trailer.

This mod allows trailer damage from collisions, and self-repairs both truck and trailer. When I first investigated the desync problem I found that this mod would work fine if trailer damage was 0%, but if trailer damage increased above 0% the game would desync within a short distance. So in WoT events (and maybe now in any External Contract job, I will have to test this sometime) if you have a collision that damages your trailer, or if you have pre-existing trailer damage and load this mod, you can suffer desync at the first moment when the mod tries to repair the trailer.

Very odd that this mod gave me the synch issue and the other one (Cat's) doesn't. I have noticed that my trailer and cargo never take damage using the Cat's mod though I guess sometimes things are odd like that in the coding world. I will give this one another try as I am not certain I had it placed at the highest priority at the time it was giving me the issues. I appreciate your timely replies though, it's good to see that those who create mods follow up and support them. Keep the wheel's spinnin' and the beaver's grinnin' I'm 10-10 on the side!

@Reconjack85 If Cat's Damage Tweaks doesn't desync under the same conditions as this mod, then the reason will be that this mod repairs the trailer, which in External Contracts is not the property of the player. Cat's Damage Tweaks does not repair the trailer.

@Reconjack85 Thanks for that info. In the case of desyncing during WoT events, this was a code change by the devs and there's nothing I can do about it. It's possible that they have made, or will make, another code change that prevents damage mods like this one from working with any External Contract job. Basically, if a damage-tweaking mod works in some playing scenarios but desyncs in others, it's almost certainly going to be due to game code that modders can't access or bypass.

I looked up "Cat's Damage Tweaks" and it edits the same file as this mod, so these two mods conflict with each other and you should choose one or the other. You will not get a combination of the two mods, you will get the mod that is higher priority and the lower priority mod will be ignored.

Yes, I was in the middle of a regular external contract no ongoing WoT event. Driving through Idaho by the "halfway between equator and north pole" marker, not sure what road that is but I remember seeing that sign as it popped a Steam Achievement a while ago crossing it. I kept getting that earlier mentioned synch error and the game would reset at the last known point. I uninstalled (unsubscribed) from the mod, restarted, no issue. I have been successfully using another similar mod from Cat's Modding, the Damage Tweaks (searched "repair" under the workshop and it's like sixth down). No issues. I placed both your mod and the Cat's at the top of my mod activation list too. I know sometimes certain mods interact negatively with other mods, maybe that was the issue.

Causes random desynch and respawn at last known point 1.47. Needs an update. It works with 1.47, but causes the random desynch issue.

@King_DarkSide Thanks for that further info about the .sii files. I haven't looked through many of them but you've confirmed what I suspected and that there is nothing I can change to fix this issue.

@moblet1 I suspect that it is the damage being removed from the WoT trailer/load, and when the game syncs with WoT and gets different damage % numbers for the load from previous sync, sync error happens because of the "negative damage" being reported causing the crash.

I spend a bit of off time looking through those .sii files, but I don't think I recall seeing anywhere that would indicate if a load is a WoT load or not. I feel if that existed, a solution would be much easier to formulate.

@King_DarkSide Thanks, that's a sharp observation and really useful info. There has been no info in the update changelogs from SCS to indicate why this mod would suddenly cause crashes, so I haven't known what was wrong and I could do nothing about it. If the problem is being caused by WoT event rules and not a change in the game itself then everything makes a lot more sense.

This mod keeps giving me problems with the game not syncing properly to World of Trucks, and the game will set me back quite a few miles sometimes and make it impossible to finish my deliveries. Hope you can fix this somehow because I'm gonna have to stop using it for now, sadly.

Just what I needed and works perfectly. My loaded trailer had 24% damage, which I would have gladly paid to repair if I could, but since that isn't possible I was getting fined $700 at every weigh station for using a damaged trailer. Grrrrr. Thanks!

@dault3883 Are you using external contracts? Since 1.40 there seems to be a problem when the mod tries to repair contract trailers. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do anything about it, SCS hasn't provided any information about what they changed (or even told us that they changed anything to cause this issue).
