I don't see why it wouldn't, but I'm not sure. I haven't been able to get 1.5 to work for me at all to even play it vanilla yet.

No problem! I've been meaning to get back to this, actually. Once you analyze the debris you automatically get the tech, without having to research it. Figured I'd wait until Banks comes out.

Far as I can tell, 1.3 added this line of code to the crystal weapons in 00_phys_weapon_texh.txt: "is_reverse_engineerable = yes". I simply copied them into a file called phys_weapon_tech.txt so it wouldn't overwrite the main, and changed the value of the line to "no" for the four crystal weapons.

On their own they aren't amazing weapons, more flavorful than anything. Green and blue are Tier 1, and red and yellow are tier 2. If anything they were underpowered within their tier. I'm not sure if/how the non-player versions have changed between now and before they were removed.

So, with your code diving, how do they compare to current weapon types? Are they like kinetics? Missiles? Lasers? Are they equal to Tier 3 Kinetics? Should explain it in the patchnotes for those who started playing in 1.3 (Like me)

I wracked my brain over the fact that I couldn't get any shard techs for almost 2 weeks before I found out that their removal was listed in the 1.3 update change log.
