No Solar Power At Night

@lol_wut Which ones? All the solar farms I see in the States are just attached to the grid they have no battery back ups, the owners literally just make money off them feeding the grid during the day and the facilities have no use at night.

now two the ones in the game do have batteries, but that for game-play purposes because balance wise for facilities with built in batteries they are rather cheap maintenance.

@gobbles21 This may amaze you, but solar panels that are not hooked up to a battery or some other form of electrical storage do not store electricity. If night comes and there's no battery that's been slurping up the surplus of the panels during the day, you will have no power.

@gobbles21 That's exactly right, you wouldn't be able to turn on the lights if it wasn't for incineration plants burning trash, natural gas, coal, oil, hay etc. to compensate. Solar and wind power only allows incineration plants to lower their production, when the sun is shining and the wind blowing. Despite your optimistic belief, you can't feasibly store mass amounts of energy, it has to be used when it's produced. If you were to store the energy just for my small apartment for 12 hours use, you'd need 13 car batteries, and that's disregarding cloudy days and wintertime in which there's very little solar potential compared to clear summer days. It's simply way too expensive to store it, and this is widely known... Doing so would quadruple electricity prices.

@gobbles21 no, we have a person who believes in the existence of electricity storage and correctly believes that light isn't present at night.

Don't tell me we have a Fox News watcher creating mods who believes that solar power means you cant turn your lights on a night? OMG

no this is not realistic the solar power plants (in the game and real life) have batteries that last throught the night it sais it in the desc (sorry bad spelling).

So there is no need for this*

In Cities: Skylines the Solar plants create electricity during the day and distributes it at night. In my opinion, this looks good, and is, but by creating power at night is not breaking reality.

Oh, forgot to mention.

Welcome to the modding community :-)

@BoodyPenguin, your mod has a different scope. This mod is for solar PVs. Yours for CSP. You need the capacitor if you run 100 % on solar PVs.

You also forgot to mention my Night Time Solar Power in description :) And Solar Capacitor is actually not needed anymore because CO already implemented 70% electricity output during night.
