@ronafuge: You can also try from my workshop the race track "Track Switch Race". The self driving cars there are a little bit faster. They can also be used on this track.

@sstafford: Try it this way:
1. Build it on the lift and keep it there.
2. Build some higher walls a bit away from the track.
3. Jump in the cars and turn them off (button 1 and 2).
4. Delete the blocks on the track which connect the cars (track still on the lift).
5. Weld the cars to the walls from step 2.
6. Remove the lift and weld the track to the ground.
