Is there a mod that restricts new cities for bots? They make cities endlessly by occupying new cells

Just want to confirm that this mod does still work as of this post.

At first I thought it was broken because the highlights were not displaying; however, like it is written in the Troubleshooting portion of the description, in order for mods to work you need to actually start your game from the mods menu. When I started a game from the mods menu, this mod's highlights showed up just fine.

Insurgent Slayer 28 jun, 2021 @ 19:39
Straight up, this mod is a required mod for play, there's no reason for this to not be part of the base game.:summer2019cockatiel:

Pastafarian 11 jan, 2021 @ 15:36
Can you also add an option to show the range of religious pressure?
dave 2 jan, 2021 @ 23:06
I love this mod and have a hard time playing without it now.
VinnyViking 22 dec, 2020 @ 6:33
The modder should have explained it a bit (better).
This mod shows the locations in red where 2 cities overlap each others area of effect.
This also seems to wok for city related units like workers and work boats.
I do not know how the work in the overlapping areas are calculated for each city that "owns" the area.
CaptainTurtle 22 aug, 2020 @ 14:22
I don't understand, what is the point of this mod?
Akephalos 5 apr, 2020 @ 1:33
I've never had any problems with this mod, even with a load of other mods enabled. Blue outline clearly shows city limits when I select or move a settler.
Jev 12 okt, 2019 @ 0:35
It works very well.
The only problem is, the limits only show when you move your settler. All the people saying it doesn't work: try moving the settler and, hey presto, it should appear. It's a bit frustrating, but easily worked round.
BearBee 27 jan, 2019 @ 12:15
Even as my only mod, this has never worked for me. It's a shame. This is a perfect example of functionality that should have been in the base game.
Legoras 1 jan, 2019 @ 6:17
It works... it works... stop using broken/incompatible mods.
mvarkel 17 dec, 2018 @ 6:29

Really enjoyed this mod, thank You!
BachToBaroque 8 jul, 2017 @ 22:52
Anyone know If there's a mod that expands city limits instead?
FiveAgainst1 23 jun, 2017 @ 15:37
Civ 6 badly needs this mod.
jaishaw 30 apr, 2017 @ 2:42
I have been using it without issue. Could do with something similar for Civ 6 if anyone knows of one?
Meeper 14 apr, 2017 @ 15:45
doesn't work
BloodBath 25 mar, 2017 @ 3:15
Just set it up. It does not appear to work at all. The mod is definitely being loaded from the mods menu, but doesn't seem to work in the game. Bummer
MusicManiac 16 mar, 2017 @ 7:20
Will the bug be fixed? Loading one, where mod warks only untill you re-load game
BrJason 20 dec, 2016 @ 9:36

Mod is broken in latest update of civ, works if first loaded into a new map but if you save and return to the map is doesn't work.
LumberDuck 6 okt, 2016 @ 16:27
UN MUST.
tsioulak 15 aug, 2016 @ 13:03
It only works when I first load the map. After I save and return to it, the mod doesn't work.
johna 8 aug, 2016 @ 0:25
Very handy Mod this. Thank you.
Slade 19 jul, 2016 @ 14:59
SO useful when playing Spain. Those conquistadors have never been more thankful.
Mattyice 22 maj, 2016 @ 18:47
Great mod. Helps tons with my inital capital placement, and all of the subsequent cities i found. Thanks Kilandor
Backo 13 maj, 2016 @ 3:11
Great mod
Mazer 7 maj, 2016 @ 5:23
It was the first mod I ever used. And for quite a time it was the only one I'd been using. It adds such a basic and indispensable functionality that it was worth to sacrifice Steam Achievements for it
JotNyangE 15 apr, 2016 @ 23:26
Amazing mod. Now I won;t make any mistakes when it comes to placing my city. Thanks!
Maitre Supreme 7 apr, 2016 @ 19:51
Great mod - THX
SonicTheWarthog 31 mar, 2016 @ 10:30
is this mod supposed to show you border growth turns left when you mouse over the city? i remember seeing that when i first tried the mod but now it is not doing it anymore. The difference is now I am using the community patch (only the core dll and not the balance patch).
SonicTheWarthog 31 mar, 2016 @ 10:27

I play a lot of Civ V. I vary the mods that I use from time to time, but this is the one that I won't play without. Thank you so much for developing this.
[1-7] Rniessius 12 feb, 2016 @ 15:04
Does not download when subscribed.
reboot5919 5 jan, 2016 @ 16:40
This mod is fantastic and really helpful! The only issue I have is that when I have a paratrooper or when I'm trying to use the airport, the mod will not allow me to see the range/other cities airports. I think maybe making it a menu option like Show Grid and binding it to a key would improve functionality. Does anyone have any fixes?
charmquark94 29 dec, 2015 @ 18:07
This mod has worked very well for me. Its not complicated, but it provides enough feedback to make picking sites a lot easier. :steamhappy:
Avilyn 14 dec, 2015 @ 19:22
Love the mod, but any chance you can make the borders of city-states/other civs a different color (not necessarily all unique, just a different color from the player's civ)? In cases where other civs are settling near you, having the borders between your city and theirs not show up when you're looking at tiles for workers to improve etc. can be a pain. Not sure it's possible, but it would be a help. Thanks again for this mod!
wiseman 13 dec, 2015 @ 10:21
@Verc Conquistadors can build cities, but only on other continents.
The Verc 12 dec, 2015 @ 16:02
I noticed that conquistidors show the same city limits stuff that settlers do. Is this intended? At first I thought my conquistidor could build a city!
Bucketsmith 9 okt, 2015 @ 3:28
This one is not showing up in my modlist. I tried resubscribing. Any ideas?:rookie:
mfly6148 12 aug, 2015 @ 22:24
"Simple but small mistake can be made.
To use mods you must after opening and enabling the mods click "Next".
Then you Can choose Singleplayer and Setup a new game or load an existing game.
"Enabling" or checking the box on a mod and returning to the main menu to play does not allow mods to work."
Thanks for including this statement! The first time I tried using a mod, this was very confusing to me; the process isn't all that self-explanatory. Would be nice if the game itself provided this info - or, short of that, if this info were included on each mods 'subscribe' page.
Craftking 2 aug, 2015 @ 7:39
This is one of those must-have mods which really should be included in the game. See the maximum radius of a city, and the same thing on settlers when you are about to found a city.
