They don't actually need a road connection, they have no AI assigned.
The road connection is only to make them snap together, since there's a lot of stuff to line up.

If you really want to hand place and rotate every segment, you can open them up in the asset editor, delete the road segment, use the modTools mod to change the placement type to OnLand, and save them back out with different names.
You'll be able to place them anywhere now, but be aware that it's gonna be a fiddly pain in the butt.

These are amazing. I wish we had more assets these can snap to besides the one distillery. They ust don't quite make it to the edge enough to look like they could connect to another generic asset. Any plans for more?

@Badi_Dea Thx 4 the quick reply, but I do have Network extension (2) installed and enabled. I think that it may somehow is caused by the rainfall mod (which I deleted a while ago anyway). There were also new assets included in this mod, found in a new subtab in the water & sewage tab. Maybe this screwed it all up 4 me, and thats why your pipes cant be loaded. Really don´t know, just wild guess, but I can´t think of another reason why I´m the only one having this problem. Sadly your lovely pipes ain´t probs, because I think as props they would work fine 4 me

It's likely you don't have Network Extensions installed or enabled.
I am planning on an update to remove that dependency around the release time of the new DLC in about a month

Can´t get these pipes working. No matter what I tried, it always can´t get loaded, loading screen mod always says "failed". The power plant works though, but it would be nice to add those pipes to it. Don´t know what is causing the problem. Is there maybe a prob version of those pipes?

@dapascha : go to the pipe building menu, select a vanilla pipe then click on the buldozer and then delete the oil pipes.

@creepyeyes That's not out of the question, I would rather like to rebuild them to not require the network extension mod but that will take some time to add additional geometry to the models in order to cover a default road.

Is there any chance of these being released as ploppable parks or something like that? I'd love to use them, but don't really want to add network extensions 2 to my modlist, I'm ok with them not being functional or snapping automatically

@DRen72, I have the same problem, but only when I use the Touch It! mod. Then I can delete the footprint of the piping, but not the pipes themselves. Using the selection tool from Move It didn't work for me...

They have a really small hitbox since they are technically a pipe. just move your cursor over them until it lights up.

Netinfo missing is short for Network Information missing like Road Networks - It must be some conflict somewhere, something I've never seen.
How do you feel about the snapping feature? I could release the set sans-Network Extensions roads. Of course, they will be a huge pain to snap together...

Yes i can. i have tried the roads from the New Network Extension and had no problems at all. but when i use this asset, the error always showed up in the start of the game (after loading map).

Which network extension? the old one or the new one? because i had installed the old one back then before the Natural Disaster and still getting that error. And i installed the new one, still getting the error.

BTW Badi_Dea, I've been busy organising the assets I have in collections theses last few days. I've regrouped a number of industrial assets in this collection. Much of the stuff in there would work nicely with your refinery project.

I'm gonna have to come up with a coke mound to put in the collection area for that asset, so I'll be making a prop that can be used elsewhere too.

You have not properly installed the Network Extension Mod, This asset requires it to function.
