i find it sad that i dont need any exploring anymore after the first 30 minutes, cause i just buy either maps from other empires....
and use my sience ships to assist my research hubs anyways lel
Thanks for trying to improve it tho.
My plan would have worked I think, but I am not too confident that it would be reliable without a looooot of testing.
The main problem is that solar systems are not a constant size, and calculating the size is exceptionally difficult, if not downright impossible.
The second problem is that there's no way to measure angle to target, as far as I know, and addons can only order ships to move towards planetary objects specifically, or any system in general - not in a specific direction or towards empty space.
I've had ships die too often already because they "evaded" right into the arms of an enemy fleet. Had my ships gone in another direction (to a farther side of the gravwell), they'd likely made it, or at least cost those skirmishers more time, as they'd be in the middle of the system instead conveniently still almost at open space.
Its just stupid that ships just retreat and forget all their other orders. Now I have at lest the oppurtunity to reassign them directly and not to figure out first which ship of my vast empire retreatet recently.
