Appreciate the work that went into this mod. It's good for the brain and more satisfying to have to work out the clues. I ran into issues after acquiring the mask; probably a timing issue with the door to Kronhadrim's chamber, which I couldn't get fully open. Had the mask anyway so tcl'd through the door and battled Kronhadrim for fun. But, need to uninstall because the quest keeps restarting with the first courier letter every time I log on, plus the mask didn't stay in my inventory. I probably borked it, but it was still fun.

When you equip the mask, do you get the "Release: Whisper added" message in the top left corner?
Also make sure you have SKSE installed, some of the script functions don't work without it.

there is a bug with the mask and i can't open the entrance door to the doungeon because i can't whisper

TheDraconic13: The quest stage you're on gives two possible locations of the next clue (somewhere on the lake, or at the burial mound), so make sure to check both! Note that Lake Illinalta is the large lake directly north of Falkreath. If you look at http://srmap.uesp.net/ , there's only one indoor place on the western shore of the large lake north of Falkreath that someone might stay.

ok, have to look for clues at the lake or burial mounf=d, went as far west as the Twilight Sepulcher, no sign, where is the lake?

SKSE is Skyrim Script Extender. It's available on Steam and you can find a lot of information about it on Google. All the facts you need are in the letter/journals you find throughout the quest. That being said, I may make a walkthrough sometime soon.

What is skse? Why don't you rename it Whispers in the Dark II and write a walk-thru for it I can't pin-point quests next clue on map.

old vet 74: Just to make sure you're not trying to solve a puzzle that isn't there, the quest concludes once you find the dragon priest. You just go out the way you came in. I'm not sure if that's the part you're at, just trying to clear up any confusion.

Dr.lakefish_HAXX: If the quest isn't the reason you downloaded this mod, you can use the console to add the mask into your inventory and skip the quest entirely. The mask will work without completing the quest.

TheUnkn0wnGamer: You don't need to defeat the dragon priest to get the mask. There is a questline leading you to the mask, and once you get it, you can choose not to continue. There are no npcs you need to kill to get the mask. If all you want is the mask, the remainder of the quest is optional.

Just downloading it. No markers means i'm probly just gonna ignore it for a while, but oh well. Will be fun to use whenever i get it :)

Why not just put it as a new default ability or something similar? Doing a quest just to have the option to whisper is kind of ridiculous, especially since you have to fight a dragon priest just to have that option. Instead, how about you need to talk to someone to teach you that, like maybe the Greybeards or another dragonborn or something like that?

The quest markers are somewhat intentionally left out. I made this quest with the idea in mind of making the players read and think about the notes/clues.
