perfect for when you wake up in the middle of the night after hearing a noise and say "who goes there?"

Is there a smaller version of this somewhere? I scaled it down but it's still too big.

This mod just broke. I hope you might be able to do something about this, these looked great :)

Another great asset fallen victim to the utter shit dropbox service. To everyone that listens, and to the great creators here, I'd like to remind, that TTS has now a gigabite of free cloud space for resource uploads. Please, good folk, upload it to the Steam cloud... there has been enough great modules destroyed by dropbox and their random removals of assets.

Failed to load AssetBundle, please help this looks really cool and I would like to use it in my Warhammer RP

I saw the thumbnail and thought to myself, "It's just going to be a crappy static model". I was so wrong! This is actually really cool, no pun intended.

How would I make a real, shadow-casting light (such as the one created by this candle) attached to a small, invisible sphere?

The lighting options on one of the RPG tables have invisble spherical items that create light of various colors, but they are not true lights and as such cast themselves through walls and do not produce shadows. I would like to attach it to things such as wall sconces and such, and also player's models for neato dynamic lighting against 3d tilesets.
ThatWeirdPanda Jun 18, 2017 @ 3:31pm
not being lit. It was for a rpg where candles are snuffed out as a mechanic. Found a work around though. Used a different candle model and used that as the unlit state since i was going to phase it into the table and only gonna see the wick anyways. Your model ended up working awesome. The atmosphere it creates on a darkened table was perfect. Thanks for the this mod.

By unlit do you mean not casting light or not being actually lit?
ThatWeirdPanda Jun 15, 2017 @ 12:47am
Is there any way to get a version of the candle as unlit?
Vic  [author] May 2, 2017 @ 2:22am
Ok, now the smoke works, seems restarting TTS fixed it.
Vic  [author] May 2, 2017 @ 2:18am
Switched to using steamcloud. Tried to add the smoke back but TTS kept throwing an error, even though the exact same file worked before. Oh well.. :steamfacepalm:
dc May 2, 2017 @ 1:39am
Yea would be great if you could rehost the file somewhere that wont throttle you for to many downloads :)

Just figured out it's because dropbox is cutting off your downloads because there's too much traffic. Maybe next time don't use dropbox.

Doesn't work. Comes up with an error "WWW AssetBundle Error: 429 Too many Requests" and "Failed to load AssetBundle"
Markimus Mar 12, 2017 @ 6:18am
That's weird, it seems to be working fine now. It was coming up with an error message on each load saying it couldn't import the .unity3d file.
Vic  [author] Mar 12, 2017 @ 3:35am
Broken how?
I just checked it out and it works for me. I haven't done any changes to it.
Markimus Mar 11, 2017 @ 2:41pm

Kaiju Cuddlebug Sep 30, 2016 @ 11:03am
Would there be any way we could get a smaller candle, for dynamic lighting inside maps?

Regardless, this looks amazing. Very nice design and atmosphere. I especially like the fog you put under the table; it's a nice touch.
Eliont Sep 29, 2016 @ 8:36am
Thanks
TheLimeyDragon Sep 25, 2016 @ 3:28pm
As a Linux user I can confirm your candle now works flawlessly under Linux. :)
Vic  [author] Sep 25, 2016 @ 12:02pm
It's been updated!
The light now flickers and the range has been increased.
I also added a environment smoke particle effect.

@ReinFall, the table isn't that dark, it's just the background is black.
Jikings Sep 25, 2016 @ 9:15am
This is gold

Hey there we release a new AssetBundle Unity project to fix a pink texture bug for mac and linux players, unfortunately all the AssetBundles will be to have re-exported from this new project to fix it. It will also check for new versions on startup, so it will make it easier to get any new features that we add.
