I was literally about to make a simple mod so that Morokei has no armor rating, so thank you for this.
Lellowk Mar 5, 2013 @ 2:36pm
Thanks!
Ntonisthier  [author] Mar 5, 2013 @ 1:46pm
On SkyrimNexus, the mod is called "Main Font Replacement". In particular, I am using the "Magic Cards" font.
Lellowk Mar 5, 2013 @ 12:28pm
Hey, wanted to ask what mod do you use to make your text different.I've never been able to find it.Thanks
MAH BOI Jan 16, 2013 @ 3:41pm
Many thanks.

Thanks

Great, I've been looking for this. It's annoying as hell that you couldn't wear Morokei with the Arch Mage robes before.
Ntonisthier  [author] Nov 5, 2012 @ 9:34am
I won't make a version for any of the other masks. Sorry.
You can use my Dragon Priest Masks Unleashed mod, though. It allows you to change the armor class of any mask you want.
pltn Nov 3, 2012 @ 4:22pm
Do you have a version for all masks?
K1D77A Aug 13, 2012 @ 8:19am
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
igor_madg Jul 10, 2012 @ 6:01am
ahh ok dude, but i got a mod that makes masks doesn't count for the Mage Armor perk, i'll also try your unleashed mod and see if they're compatible (the mod i'm using also changes some restoration and alteration spells)
Ntonisthier  [author] Jul 10, 2012 @ 1:56am
They likely won't work together, sorry.
If you want you can try out my Dragon Priest Masks Unleashed mod, though. It restores Morokei's 20% shout enchantment and allows you to change the mask into a clothing-type item.
igor_madg Jul 9, 2012 @ 7:45pm
would this mod work with another mod that fixes morokei bug?(it is supposed to have a fortify shouts of 20% as the master game file says, but it wasn't implemented, the mod fix this issue)
Ntonisthier  [author] Jun 14, 2012 @ 1:45am
They'll work together. I'm 99% sure of that.
Concrete Rage Jun 13, 2012 @ 12:06am
Would this mod work with a mod that modifies the textures of the dragon priest masks, specifically referring to Psychosteve's DragonPriest Masks.
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 22, 2012 @ 2:51pm
@Black Virtue: Well, I've got no problem with that. On your question, this mod shouldn't alter getting the final Kohnahrik mask in any way. I have not tried that yet, but it would really surprise me if that wouldn't work for some reason. And even if a problem does arise, you can just deactivate the mod, get the Kohnarik mask, and activate the mod again.
@Monstahkiin: Yeah. My other mod also fixes that.
MoNSTeR Feb 20, 2012 @ 10:54pm
@bwcampbell Actually it was intended for Morokei to have BOTH 100% Magicka Regen and 20% Shout CDR.

From the UESP ( http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Morokei_(item) )
"It should be noted that although Morokei does not have a unique enchantment in-game, there is an unused entry in the master file for Morokei that indicates that it is supposed to also include a Fortify Shouts buff of 20%. Though this entry exists, it is not properly assigned to Morokei, resulting in its current enchantment."

There's even a mod out that fixes it. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3329
Black Virtue Feb 16, 2012 @ 5:00am
I would try your other mod but I ONLY want this tweak. But I need to know, does it affect getting the final mask?
Regirs Feb 10, 2012 @ 9:55am
THX for answer about font u used @Astan!
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 9, 2012 @ 2:19pm
And before I forget it, I just have to thank all of you guys for all the feedback and creative input. I hope my new mod will satisfy as many of you as possible.
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 9, 2012 @ 1:37pm
I have created a new mod, "Dragon Priest Masks Unleashed", including free customization of all the masks, the original Morokei enchantment and a bit more.
JF Feb 9, 2012 @ 12:14pm
Why not extend this to all Dragonpriest masks?
Regirs Feb 9, 2012 @ 11:09am
whats that front u are using that u can see on the screenshot?
4rik Feb 9, 2012 @ 8:31am
oh fantastic :)
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 9, 2012 @ 7:55am
300 armor really isn't too strong. My lvl 49 mage still gets one-hitted by certain enemies.
The idea of allowing the player to change the masks' armor type by himself is interesting. I will start working on something like that as soon as possible, but I can't promise anything yet.
Loasmo Feb 9, 2012 @ 5:33am
I do wonder if this might throw the mask off balance... 100% magicka regen is a whole lot and the armor perks grant you 300 armor... but with enchanting 100 you can enchant some head gear that gives you a lot of magicka regen PLUS some other neat effect :)
Thor Feb 9, 2012 @ 4:09am
@statueofmike
That might be due to NPCs do not usually equip clothing as they most likely wear armor instead as they see having a better rating.
dactylroot Feb 9, 2012 @ 1:46am
That's a good idea, but will followers no longer auto-equip it?
Ed130-The Vanguard Feb 8, 2012 @ 11:44pm
Will you also modify the other masks?
TeamCaffeine Feb 8, 2012 @ 4:44pm
@Astan, I'm glad you're considering adding the 20% reduction, but you do bring up a good point. However, doesn't the vanilla version allow you to wear both the Morokei mask, 20% shout reduction included, with the Amulet of Talos? Either way, I'm just happy to be able to wear this mask with my Arch-Mage's Robes to get that serious increase in magicka regeneration.
Matemarcos Feb 8, 2012 @ 4:02pm
Amazing!
Spatzist Feb 8, 2012 @ 1:11pm
Exactly what I was looking for- thanks.
Nova Feb 8, 2012 @ 12:33pm
Going off what lemon said, maybe you could do one of the following: Add a way to convert them, like "drop them in this box and hit this button and you get it" or something like that (NPCs work too), all 3 forms of mask drop from each priest, or so on.
jon lemon Feb 8, 2012 @ 12:24pm
I'd like to suggest a fleshing-out of this mode. I'm using Krosis with my sneaky archerer who doesnt like to wear anything but light armor. Any way we could make it so these can be changed from heavy to light to clothing in game?
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 8, 2012 @ 6:32am
No, you still have to get the mask yourself; it's at the end of a dungeon you get access to at the final mages' guild questline. Alternatively, you can get it via the console, just search the web, there are many tutorials and such which tell you how to do that.
Reepenia Feb 8, 2012 @ 6:26am
When i download this, do i have it on my inventory ?
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 8, 2012 @ 2:37am
@bwcampbell: I have heard of that missing enchantment, too, and I'm already planning to integrate that into my mod in some way; I'm still considering if I should directly add that to this mod or if I should upload that as an alternative version to this mod. I'll start right away with playtesting that idea though, since you can potentially have 40% shout cooldown reduction together with the amulet of talos, which could harm the game's balancing.
TeamCaffeine Feb 8, 2012 @ 1:28am
The Morokei mask should have a 20% reduction for the period of waiting between shouts...
IcyDeadPeople Feb 8, 2012 @ 12:53am
Great idea Astan, this is a much needed tweak for mage characters!
Ntonisthier  [author] Feb 7, 2012 @ 11:26pm
Thanks for all the feedback guys, I wasn't expecting such a reaction for a simple tweak like that.
At the moment this mod only changes the Morokei mask; I will probably add tweaks for the other masks as well, eventually. Next will probably be Vokun, Nahkriin and Konahrik. I will probably upload each as a seperate file, so you won't have any problems if you are playing multiple saves at the same time and are using one of the masks on a non-mage character you want to benefit from the mask's original armor protection.
The font I am using comes from the "Main Font Replacement" mod at Skyrim Nexus, "Magic Cards" type.
WillB Feb 7, 2012 @ 9:29pm
Aha this was going to be my next project... good to see you've saved me the trouble :D
Gabranth Feb 7, 2012 @ 8:25pm
Does this change apply to all of the Dragon Priest masks or just Morokei?
Azot☆Punk Feb 7, 2012 @ 8:05pm

Osprey Feb 7, 2012 @ 7:11pm
this just made buying skyrim for pc worth it!( had it on xbox)
Derp_Diggler Feb 7, 2012 @ 7:01pm
For pure magic users who don't WANT armor rating of any sort to get the Mage Armor perk, this is pure win. Thank you!
Regirs Feb 7, 2012 @ 6:52pm
whats that front u are using that u can see on the screenshot?
Baloney Kaboom Feb 7, 2012 @ 5:23pm
Tyguy, it's more useful as a light helmet if you're (for example) playing as a spellsword in light armor.
