FYI to any new users. This mod still does work, but bear in mind it edits the main agents table to give a maximum possible sight range. So if you have other mods higher in the priority that also edit this table (steel faith, radious, lesser agents etc) they can override and render this mod nullified.

I had to change it's name and table name in order to get it working for me.

Also, when it was working, I simply had to recruit a new agent and it worked as advertised, completely revealed entire map.

Well I personally tested it last week and it worked fine
G0rgonP0rnstar Jan 5, 2017 @ 2:54pm
Well, I just tried it, either some mod is conflicting, or this one is bunk.
Thunder Bagel  [author] Jan 5, 2017 @ 4:40am
Yeah that's true. You could do that and the AI wouldn't get the buff. Never thought of that

So riddle me this, could I not recruit a new lord or agent, get the LOS buff, save, deactivate the mod, reload and still have the buff with no AI turn slowdown? I don't necessarily need to see what anyone is doing, I just hate the clouds blocking the whole damn map.

Many mods like this one do not require any kind of change after updates other than a re-upload to remove the out-of-date warning that is applied to all mods by default, whether they work or not.
Thunder Bagel  [author] Nov 24, 2016 @ 1:24pm
It still works

please update
Crynsos Oct 25, 2016 @ 4:37pm
It works fine with no other mods enabled, you just need to enable the usage of out-of-date mods or disable potentially conflicting mods.

@Jotunheim: After testing, I don't think it's possible to adjust the agents to spies. At least, I'm not willing to invest more time in it.

Also, this effect applies after certain ui elements are refreshed. Disbanding or recruiting a agent will cause such a ui refresh.

....which has me thinking, it may be possible to change the agents to spies, but it would require the user to trigger a ui refresh without recruiting a agent, because the recruitment pools won't populate correctly (except maybe for the existing spies). Maybe I'll try again at some point.

@Turquoise_Falcon: Google does. Not well, but it seems he was very impressed when he started a game, scrolled around and couldn't find any fog of war. If the smiley didn't give it away, he offers his appreciation.

@Millimidget great!! let as know :D

It goes beyond the ones generated while this is active. I imagine the effect is calculated at the start of the turn, and your existing lords will get the increased sight range.

But, AI turns get really long, even with fast movement on and track AI movements disabled.

I'm looking at writing a mod similar to this which both increases sight range and adjusts all agents to the spy agent type.

LOS = Line Of Sight
He meant that every new general generated with this mod active will get the same extremely high viewing range, which will stick to them until they die.

hi @Turqoise_Falcon
i tried to end the turn with this mod on, and all worked fine ( yes, with a big slow down). I havent understand what is this "LOS BONUS TO ALL NEW RECRUITED LORDS AND AGENTS OF ALL FACTIONS".

Crynsos Every startpos compile you do, you must make sure no mods are activated in your manager, otherwise, those mods may be included in parts into your mod. :) Its called Advance startpos compile, and its used to include custom units into startpos units. and some other things too :).

Btw this mod is a huge tool for mod making :) thanks!

A warning from a fellow modder - I happened to compile a mod of mine (greenskin faction unlocker) and it seems I had this mod subscribed and active while compiling my mod in BOB which has to start up the game for a short while to do that and it seems to have included your mod unintentionally into mine which essentially turned a greenskin faction unlocker into a greenskin faction unlocker with permanent lack of fog of war - obviously a very annoying matter.

I didn't really change much during that recompile, only something about a general trait and once I thought of this being the case, I recompiled with exactly the same settings and the issue was gone.

So you might want to add a warning into your description as this was certainly confusing, good thing the campaign map looked exactly like your screenshot (with the edges still there) and thus it implied the same setting being present and I knew I had only this mod recently added and active at the time.

Works fine for me. Might be conflicting with another mod
