Sadly..yes. I lost all the files during a crash. Before that, I tried to update the map but it failed to compile the map. Tried a lot to find the issue..no luck and gave up.

Is this map dead? No updates? Also framerates hit really hard when you go into open areas, other then that GREAT MAP!!!

The issue with the Conquer mode is that there's an extra "{" character on line 496 of point_blank.txt file which breaks the in-game parser. Removing this single character fixes Conquer; it works fine, but one of the caches hangs in the air. It can be fixed by moving it 50 units lower: on line 598, change the origin to "2242 -2569 32".

It would be sweet if you could update the map with this small fix. Thanks.

Not dead, but a little busy with other things and my PC has problems. I will fix the previous issues noticed here, but I cant tell when ;)

Anyone else notice that Conquer mode is screwed up? There are numerous checkpoints (all from the checkpoint map), only the first three can be taken, and there are no caches to be found.

I played the map yesterday on my Server, and I noticed there was a window which was technically "open" but if you tried shooting through it, it would not let you. Bullets technically never passed the Window to the outside. Its the building where you need to blow up the C4 in the first floor, i think its Checkpoint D. Its the building where you need to use the ladder / stair outside, to get to the first floor. Its one of the windows in the room where the thing is you need to blow up, pointing towards the other side where you need to go to E. I hope that helps.

Just updated to the new version... Runs good on my servers. Will have to wait for more players to get a better review, but for now, it most certainly have "Thumbs Up". Keep up the good work.

Brilliant Map ... very tense on co-op and have both CQB and long range engagements. Love it

A small "bug" observation: The two storage building where you have to blow up the cache (Objective: D, I believe) ... one of the windows are modelled as being open, but you cannot shot nor throw grenades through it (which I found out the hard way when a grenade bounced back in my face! Good times!)

Thanks for the reactions so far. I just updated the map and fixed F for checkpoint and some other small issues.

@ AndyBroski; Thanks!! At the market area and middle area is not much geometry to block stuff. That's my problem, a little stubborn with layouts and such :P
About the fog you mentioned. Im a little worried that if I make the fog closer or more dense, the bigger(furthest) buildings in the 3DSkybox will get that ugly solid color from the fogsettings :(

This is a super map for detail, but have encounter a bug, after getting to echo and holding it foxtrot does not appear so unable to complete map. can you hep?

Really nice and detailed map. Though my frames dip down to 40-50 when looking down the street or in the market. I'm running everything on max so I guess that is to be expected.

I suggest a little more fog to help with the draw distance and what not.

=BB= Subscribe to it here and then use the base files downloaded and install it as NON-Workshop. Worked great for my servers.

Couldn't get it to work....on my server. Used correct ID# and added "Point Blank (Alpha)" to my checkpoint mapcycle file....and no joy, server would not boot fully. Standing by for a fix.

@Arc: Then why am I able to play all the vanilla maps normally with the same settings, mods, and the default amount of bots in Checkpoint and Hunt, and have 100+ FPS? My PC is using an i5-4690 for the CPU btw.

Like I said, as soon as I spawn, FPS goes extremely low, and immediately follows up with a crash.

In regards to performance, running on my server with 6 people and about 18 bots, did not see any FPS issues... Not lag. Worked great. The server we were playing on is an I5, 3.0 Ghz, 32 GB Ram and it runs 15 servers... No problems noted.

Wonderful map!
so I did some nonscientific testing for about 30 minutes on Solo mode, no bots, just me and the map.
All settings maxed except shadows on medium. Just walking around exploring this new master piece.
FPS results were max:135 min:53
The max fps was found in the constuction building and the min was found in and around the food market place. hope this help future progress.

my specs are:
intel i7 2600k
evga 560ti,oc
1t hdd- no ssd
win7
1080 max resolution

With no bots I get the lowest FPS at 70 FPS, where I'm at the end of the road and looking to the other side of the road. I havent everything maxed out in my video settings with a 560Ti and a 3,7Ghz i5. I havent noticed some hiccups on my end. But I'll look into it, how I can improve some FPS. I know my maps are not Source friendly ;)

Very detailed map, but the performance is rather bad, i framerate hiccups most of the time.

@NOB #IRL: Then lower the amount of bots if you have unplayable FPS drops (that would mean your CPU can't handle those), also your latest crashes are memory related, so remove mods and set everything to low.

I like what I see but I have a problem. Whenever I try to play it in Hunt or Checkpoint mode, after I spawn in the game, my framerate dips extremely low as though myriad things are loading in at once, and then I crash to desktop. :steamsad:

Map really looks great.. Noticed that "F" does not appear, you can never find it. Also it seems like bots can shoot through some solid objects. really look forward to seeing where you take this map too... My servers will certainly be running this once the points are fixed.
