What is "low martial skill" because one of my characters has 60+ MA skill and is still taking limb damage. Ofc the practice prisoner has 80+ attack/defense etc.
Gariba  [author] Jan 3 @ 12:41pm
Yes, you'll have training katana, training sabre, etc
KnightGG Jan 3 @ 11:41am
I checked the weaponsmith, are they named Training sword or smth?

where do you make them, I have researched the required thing but I don't know where to craft them

It's semi-realistic in terms of function but at the same time, it feels... to cheaty?
Not saying no one should use it, it just sort of took the struggle out of the game for me.

My solution to training clipping is to have a wide section of the base as an arena, with it's own gate and walls, then put another fighting ring inside it, so it will have to clip twice to leave. Like why you build a double killbox

I'd like to commission a painting in the style of the main image of this mod. It gets across the pain and frustration of being hit in the head with a sword and I like that.

How to maximum utilise this mod:
1. Kidnap a fogman, because they are photosynthesised.
2. Craft a training weapon and give it to the fogman.
3. Build a cage and a small arena, put the fogman inside.
4. Equip your own training weapon, get in, remember to some food.
5. Infinity sparring session, enjoy.
6. Bonus: your fogman sensei will have so much training and eventually reach 100 states in all fighting related skill.(except kungfu) You created an ultimate fighter

All good thank you!
Gariba  [author] Jul 10, 2024 @ 2:52am
Sadly, I've never found a solution for that problem.
Mook Jul 10, 2024 @ 12:23am
Love the mod, but is there any strategy to prevent people from clipping through walls when training? Can't go more than a minute without someone being pushed through a wall
Clock el Reloj Aug 11, 2023 @ 4:41pm
i hve a problem, i,m not getting exp for other weapons like blunt

if you're wondering if this is too op, dont worry. the most it does is save you time while giving you no toughness xp due to not taking any damage. you could micromanage every single training fight and make sure the enemy who has literally 90 in every stat after a good enough amount of time doesnt shred your poor recruits with just rusty gear. all this does is reduce micromanagement
AlexanderConnor Aug 23, 2022 @ 8:55am
1 damage can't be constant, it takes your strength and I think one more skill that are multipliers to the damage output, so the more you'd train, the more damage you'd be dealing
Manu Aug 17, 2022 @ 8:28am
So weapons shouldn't do damage because there is another mod?
Rzeznik Aug 15, 2022 @ 9:38am
There is training sword already in the game in one of the labs which deals 0 damage. This mod just makes it much easier to get it. So it shouldnt have 1 blunt damage.
Manu Jul 6, 2022 @ 9:49pm
All should do 1 blunt damage. 1st because there is no way you can hit somebody with anything that causes no damage at all, 2nd it serves also to train thoughness in a controlled way
lamin Jun 21, 2022 @ 2:15pm
Is it possible to buy the training weapons in any shop?
['w'] Jun 10, 2022 @ 9:21am
Great mod, but just imagine wielding a 10kg heavy wood plank, smashing someones head with it and you do 0 dmg.

I halved all the dmg from the original weapons, as weight and material cost and gave them the proper penalties or boni (attack/defense/indoor)

Thank you for the mod!
AlexanderConnor May 16, 2022 @ 3:02pm
I would like that kind of mod too, the one Captain Mayeri Green said
Green.Vicky✙ May 11, 2022 @ 9:29am
I feel you better be able to get two allies fighting each-other with ordinary weapons. Thats something I lack a lot and if somebody knows the mod - please, let me know
Oscillator Feb 19, 2022 @ 9:08am
This simple mod made the game 1000x better to train units without obvious cheating. Thanks!

Loves this mod, really good for training, it's a shame when fighting if you don't manage them sometimes, prisonners ll be pushed through wall.
Manu Jun 27, 2021 @ 10:40am
1 thing I'd suggest. Damage = 1. It's less OP as it give realism and you have to heal them and your squad after a practice. It serves the purpose but is not free. No magic
andrestricker8814 Mar 18, 2021 @ 2:35am
None of the weapons show up in research for some reason
Kurt Levine Mar 11, 2021 @ 2:36pm
Quite simply one of The top must have mods. Accessible fairly early on, if you focus on research. Quick capture of a friendly neighbourhood mob, carry them to a deserted patch of map, give them a dummy sword in Loot, then fight your way to melee supremacy. With a bit of babysitting, you can power level to 70-80 in around 10-15 minutes of playtime. Better yet, with Recruit Prisoner mod and a Prisoner Cage you can try recruit your opponent, who will be at least as highly deadly as your toon by the end. Comrades in arms, a bond forged in the heat of battle.

Pamparampampamparam Mar 2, 2021 @ 9:54am
Can you buy these anywhere?
Flying Banana Feb 20, 2021 @ 4:08am
Its ironic that the mightiest weapons in the game are the ones with 0 damage

excuse me how do you make
Manu Oct 17, 2020 @ 5:47pm
What type of weapons can be created? is there one for each class?
TFTEnthusiast Oct 2, 2020 @ 10:08pm
@DarKGeeK what I did to solve that problem is literally make a large walled fighting pit for them with T1 walls, if the gate is locked your people won't rush to unlock and "help" your trainees. And having them fight in a large outdoor space helps keep your captured inquisitors inside and not get glitched through walls and run away at 29 mph and supports group battles for faster training.
Wrath Aug 5, 2020 @ 2:06pm
Make sure to have everyone who is not training on hold passive, or else well, you know what happens next.
Planetfall Jul 21, 2020 @ 2:01pm
there is training crossbow mod
Hyper'Nigma Mar 18, 2020 @ 2:35pm
Is there a training crossbow? I can't find one
Adohleas Mar 13, 2020 @ 10:56pm
I'm having issues where my prisoners vanish while I'm fighting them. At first I thought it was a loading issue so I kept my camera centered in my building while my npc was fighting with them, and they still vanish. Which results in me losing the training weapon and the prisoner that I was dueling. I've used this mod in the past without issue, but now I can't seem to use it without an npc going missing which seems to happen real fast.
The Pantie Bandit Mar 2, 2020 @ 4:03pm
this mod is insanely OP. Within an hour i had 75 ATT 75 DEF and like 80 DEX
No Name Feb 9, 2020 @ 11:53pm
This mod is amazing. I just gave Izumi a training katana and gave a captured samurai one as well and let them fight in a a locked building. Izumi quickly got 60 katana, melee attack and defense up to 60 in about a game day. At the same time she also got dexterity over 65 and toughness to over 30.
ZinogreTW Jan 22, 2020 @ 4:58pm
The best way to train imo is to use an empty building, then give your prisoner a weapon and the character you want to train lock the doors of course, it would be better if you have a high stat character on stand by near the doors in case the prisoner tries to flee. Free the prisoner and have em fight your desired character to train, it is important for the prisoner to strike back because not only it will boost your Defense but Toughness too. If you want to finish training use a normal weapon to knock out the prisoner and put em in cages again for future uses.

Brutal Jan 21, 2020 @ 10:56pm
My preferred way of utilizing these weapons to train is to make separate little base outside my main base. I have some prisoner cages, peeler machines and a bunch of camp beds spread out. Grab your "dummies," peel some limbs off and pick them up and put them in bed. If you don't have a peeler I'm not sure how you could do this....maybe grab enemies who lose limbs from turrets? Anyway, for me, I can then attack them nonstop without them moving or fighting back while they lay in bed. Makes it very easy to have 2-3 of you guys on one dummy wailing away and leveling up. Build far enough away from you turrets so they wont shoot your sleeping dummies and wall of you gate so raiders don't try to enter you holding area, and allies don't try to rush in and kill your dummies.
Gariba  [author] Jan 21, 2020 @ 7:03am
Just keep them in prisoner cages and they stay chill
Seeker Jan 21, 2020 @ 4:41am
After I tried this mod, I found some minor issues. Some prisoners (like Lord Phoenix) can do some damage, around 20 to the locked door (I am not sure but he tends to escape). But this really has little impact, since I can train with Bugmaster instead (when released, he just stands there). Other than that, this is really a great mod.
Alpacalypse Jan 1, 2020 @ 5:04pm
Couldn't get training weapons to work properly - they could not collide with opponents' bodies/weapons so they never provided any XP.
