damn paradox really just yoinked these hand-drawn portraits right into the game

@it's still not time Hi, I'm creating a series of EU4-based cartoons set in East Asia 1635. I would like to draw fuller versions of these portraits as characters in my story. I would like to add you on steam and perhaps you could tell me more about these icons (e.g. what culture they each belong to, which real life image/portrait inspired it). Thanks!

Congrats for being in vanilla now. I believe I suggested as such in the paradox forums, nice it actually happened. I will unsubscribe from this mod now as it became obsolete. Hope you could do some similar portrait packs for Imperium Universalis era and other ancient era cultures, especially for Roman, Egyptian, Hellenic, Persian, Scythian, Celtic I would love to see your work ingame.

Half a year to draw these and they didn't even integrate at least one of your own drawings.

Your integrated DLC doesn't work. I have 1.2 Ming patch and the military engineer advisor isn't the one shown in your screenshot.

Creative differences aside, at least you made a mod in the first place. Anyway thanks man, I don't reckon i'd have played in east asia as much if it wasn't for the mod - the european portraits were/are very immersion breaking. Cheers.

Thanks! I don't have any plans to keep updating the mod, sorry. I've done some tweaks for the version being put in the game though, plus I did the female set for it.

The criticism is understandable haha, people have a different attitude towards a mod compared to something that's being put into the game. Bums me out a bit but I hope I'll be able to do better next time I guess.

oh man this is quite disappointment for me, i'm indonesian and our face is very different than chinese or japanese, our eyes aren't as small or our face isn't as flat as them. also there s no way indonesian/malaysian sultanate wear chinese garments, it would be more logical if we wore turban because the're muslim.

where can i get the source that it will be in patch 1.20? that is really great news but i was afraid that they will stop making any future portraits because of this. also does the portrait allocate ramdomly? it would be terrible if a ninja is a trade minister

To be honest your East Asian Advisor Portraits are so ugly, I'm disappointed Paradox choose your mod.
Why don't you play ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS XIII and NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence ? You can refer to KOEI's history strategy game's portrait to draw your EU4 East Asian Advisor Portraits.

Huh, should be updated already. If it doesn't download the update for you, try deleting it from your mods folder and it should download the correct version.

I use it with 1.19 without issue, but you could you update the version anyways?

Yeah, I've actually done nearly half of them. I'm aiming to release them when the next DLC comes out, which I expect will be in a few months.
