@SamThegamer39. Actualy Toys r us is owned by a few different companies depending on where it is in the world and its is only the western stores that went bankruppet. For example the asian stores are still going strong. Visitied a Toys r us in Tokyo last year. So they can easly come back.

Kodybod Apr 14, 2016 @ 4:37pm
i posted an request thread on the cities skyline's steam workshop discussion page and i said someone should make US hotels like the ones you see along the freeways for example hampton inn, days inn, holiday inn, super 8,Best Western red lionand other hotels you see along the freeways in the US because i need something like that and more US gas stations like Chevron,76,Texaco,Phillips 66,Exxon,Flying J,Love's,Pilot,Sheetz,Sinclair and for players in the south make an Sunoco oh and Travel centers of America that's what would make my cities stand out

@KingLeno Looks great so far. I wish I knew how to make building assets, I'd be over the moon! lol. Making a park or plaza is easy, but when it comes to 'building', I've no clue.

See that's what I love about RICO, I used to fill my cities up with unique buildings which looked nice but took up a lot of space (particularly in downtown areas).

The building eyedropper tool is nice, BUT, it doesn't stop buildings from being abandoned or leveld up. With RICO you can actually make districts with buildings you like.

Any thoughts on making a music store, bookstore and maybe restaurant? That'd add a lot of variety.

As for the malls, there are two big custom asset malls already, though they are unique buildings, not RICO.

@Ziggy_birdman just started working on this Macy's. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=664045596&fileuploadsuccess=1
I had a brief though of connecting it with other stores as a part of a larger shopping mall, but I got overwhelmed at just the thought. This will probably be my only large department store though.

Yea, I was turned off by the what I thought RICO was, I initially just thought it was a way to plop zonable default buildings which I wasn't interested in. I only started using it when I started creating assets and they were too big to squeeze into 4x4. It's really a nice add on to the game to be able to have much larger buildings that work rather than cramming everything into Unique Buildings that don't really function.
ConureGuy_411 Apr 12, 2016 @ 3:18am
@KingLeon Do you have any more RICO stores in mind to do? Reason I ask is that I'm building a shopping mall for my new city and decorating it very nicely but I want to leave room for more RICO stores if you plan on making some.

I REALLY enjoy these stores, especially them being RICO enabled. I don't understand why the RICO mod isn't more popular, it's simply a genius mod.

Can you also do a full size Walmart? The one we have currently is only the neighborhood market, and doesn't match up very well in size with your stuff!
kmanno Apr 11, 2016 @ 9:12am
Love these buildings your making. Really fills out my US city. Would you be interested in
doing a big Home Depot? Seems like it would fit well with your collection. Anyway, thanks for your contributions - they're awesome!!
