I always manage to get decent momentum with economy and get up defenses in the first few days but no matter which strategy I use, the Goblins eventually just tear down the whole kingdom with no chance for me or heroes to fight back. I tried x2 Krypta, Gnomes, Solarii and even Dwarves for tower defense in multiple playthroughs but never got through day 30 before Goblins overrun my kingdom. Seems like it could be a fun map if there was opportunity to expand but even with tower spam, lightning storms and level 20 heroes with skeletons everywhere I can't seem to get through!

After a couple dozen times being wrecked by the Day 3/4 first wave, I was starting to think this was impossible, despite others having success. I finally cracked it, in 102 days.

Gnomes were key to my strategy. I was having a lot of issues just losing buildings, and expanding my kingdom beyond the initial build felt impossible. But the gnomes really helped keep stuff repaired and got new buildings up quickly. Then I did Krypta, Wizards, and finally Solaruses. Great quest!

Wow, this was intense. I did it with elves/krypta/solari but I think any combination works as long as you have a strong economy to support the endless supplies of heroes and buildings you'll need. The skeletons/discords did a good job tanking the goblins, while the priestesses, wizards and ranged ones finished them all.

The only "bug" in the map, that if you would like to continue playing after victory, then you get the "congratulation you are victorius" animation every time you finish a respawning goblin camp. That is really annoying.

Although hard, I managed to beat this! If you want my strategy: Get krypta temples asap! I also followed the advice of @Hellmei as a base for my strategy. Won on day 60. In the end I had 6 solarii temples, 1 fairgrounds, 3 dwarven guilds & 1 wizards guild :) gg!

For intro strategy to stop the day 3 rush, I built Rogue's Guild, marketplace, blacksmith, guardhouse at the start. I fully upgraded the guardhouse as i recruited heroes and got my marketplace to lv 2 before upping to castle 2 tech and built Krypta immediately. I got a good gen map and all the focus of attack wason my upgraded guardhouse and it bought me enough time to crank out priestesses and turn the tides.

Not the best time at day 50, but around 20 of those days were mopping up camps that kept popping before I finally overwhelmed and took them all out in a close enough span.

Yeah seems like Krypta is your best bet for this one. Wizards do okay too but require a lot of babysitting. Dwarves are invaluable for their heavy building damage and ballista towers for defense. I noticed Magic Towers do pretty well against them once enchanted, and having lightning storm available with overcharge really helps clear out camps or raiding hordes in the late game.

Another easy way to win is to fight the goblin horde with your own horde of cheap heroes. I got gnomes plus one guild each of monks, healers, rogues and rangers. As long a you have a marketplace you'll slowly build up cash and the momentum will be on your side.

Having said this was a hard map ... just tried it with Krypta and won with no difficulty. Goblins have very little resistance to magic, and the Priestesses just bursted them down. Ez kills, ez life.

An incredible difficulty to win. Spend ten of times, until ended this map today. My way - no rangers at the start and early dwarfes with their defensive towers.

Fascinating to see everyone else's builds, especially Hellmai's monks and powershock idea -- I never thought those guys would be so effecive.

Mine was very standard -- rangers (+ blacksmith & market) > baracks for paladins > agrela for sustain > wizards for wave clear > stay alive! and slowly accrue levels & gold > win. At day 6 I slowed the game down a few notches and micromanaged my way through. I've never concentrated on a level this hard before, had to time things so carefully, or had to intervene so much to keep everything alive.

No way this map should be made easier. It's important to have genuinely difficult levels that you can't beat by just doing the same old same old.

Loved this map but didn't want to look at the comments because I wanted to find out how to beat it on my own because it was so difficult. I ended up with the exact same solution as jadelith except with gnomes to stall when goblins would sneak through the sides towards vulnerable structures. Once I had established my second krypta, I just spammed Solarus and every other hero camp until I was finished.

melee heroes are terrible because they get overwhelmed. didn't even build warriors guild

This is one very hard campain with a hord of goblins attacking at day 3 as you start from nothing, this is just too quick a rush! (Should come at day 5, or you should start with one crypta building) That and the goblins are so numerious that i cant seem to set a building down without a goblin snipeing it while it is still at 1hp. I did manage to win by rushing two crypta buildings and hopeing to God they didnt slay my heros faster than i could make gold.

Please make it so that the goblins take a lot longer to get fully developed! I have retried this quest many many times, with different strategies and have failed every time!!

Just finished the quest for the 3rd time.
This time i had layout: rangers -> 2x dauros -> guardhouse in the middle -> library for power shock (no wizzards again)-> 2x dwarf-> 2x paladins

Paladins are really expensive, its better to buy cheaper heroes for this. As for argela... i simply didnt have "defended spot" to place it.

This quest is nigh impossible. Get rushed way too fast. By the time I have recruited a about 4-8 basic heroes I get rushed, and then run out of gold, then die. Really needs to either start with better conditions or slow down the goblins progress so you don't get rushed.

If you haven't signed up for the beta, follow these instructions:

To access it, open the Steam Client app and right click on Majesty Gold HD in your Library and select Properties... In the Properties popup, select the BETAS tab and you should see a drop down with the title "Select the beta you would like to opt into". Select beta1 and close the popup

Once you do that, subscribe to this quest and it will appear in the top left corner of the mission select screen when you click on the star object.

I used rogue -> 2x krypta, 2x guardhouses and then slowly made it to dwarves, then 3x solarus and game end. The rogues really help your economy for such small scales. Didnt use wizzards at all.

First 10 days are hard (maybe too hard), but if you menage to survive then is not so bad.

This one's a train wreck right now. The goblin settlers are a neat idea, but you won't get to see them most of the time, since they cap out ther cities by day 7. The goblins kinda overrun you after that. I tried early krolm, and then early paladins. Krolm can push them out, but then suicide against the watchtowers. Paladins held out till day 24 and then got overran at their own guild. I've never seen 4 paladin graves on the same screen before.

I did beat it after that by going full camp mode with wizards, but that required a lot of luck, use of invisibility early on, and me to constantly build throwaway wizard towers as a health buffer. Between day 60-70, I was finally able to build a line of wizard towers, farsight, spamming bolt onto the fortresses. The heroes were still fighting within my own city the entire time.

I noticed that the off map wandering monsters were minotaurs, but they die without slowing down the goblins whatsoever. It's funny to see yellow fight red though.
