Unless SCS codes it in or a very talented modder figures out a way, no.

is there ever going to be a mod where the cop pulls you over for speeding or running a red light like in real life?????
Robot Gaming Dec 28, 2019 @ 5:21pm

I'm personally not sure how the game handles speed limit fines, and at what speed they do and don't fine you.

To answer your question, the way you are fined is the same as vanilla. But the amounts are different.
KillerBear Sep 29, 2018 @ 9:20am
does this include going 5 over the speed limit???
Nator Sep 23, 2018 @ 9:08am
Thanks for updating your mod. Checked the area and there's no crash anymore.

Thanks for the update! I'll update it ASAP

Today (after a few hours of bugfixing) I found out that your mod is causing a crash at a small unnamed town south of Tonopah at the US95 - nearby coordinates:
< -93183.9 165.239 -2258.43 >

Everytime with your mod activated it crashes because ATS can't load some textures of hay. Could you please check this?
Thx! :)

Found a fix for the $0 fines, the multiplier when police is nearby was set to 0 instead of 1 (default is 2).
C.Roberge Jul 31, 2017 @ 9:53pm
where to go to change the fines around?
AceOfSpades Jun 17, 2017 @ 7:26am
Maybe a patch messed things up but getting $0 fines for most things.

Interesting, add me on Steam so we could try to work it out without spamming this post :)

After testing I noticed that you get a $0 fine for anything by passing police cars. Speeding, going thru a red light, etc.
AlconburyBlues Feb 11, 2017 @ 7:53pm
You're awesome. Thanks.

Thanks. Just the amount ideas I mentioned to him about the Car Crash and Avoid Weighing would be good. His other amounts are right on the spot. (As I used to issue a lot of those tickets.) As far as yours, I'm testing it right now. I would like to poke inside your file to see what your fine amounts are currently set to. But can you post them in the description for all to see?
TheKnoife  [author] Feb 8, 2017 @ 9:58am
I read your comments on the other mod. What things would you like to see changed? I can give you a full list of the changes I made in probability and amounts of the fines if that's helpful to you. I'm very happy to cooperate to take this mod to the next level of realism.

Great mod. I was trying to provide feedback to the one made by hebe jeebies 5 months ago but he never replied back. I'm an ex-IL State Trooper and was trying to make his fine amounts more realistic. If you reply back do you mind some feedback on the amounts? I won't waste your time if you don't.
(or you can just go to his mod an read my comments and get the idea)

No they only scale up from the level that you are, difference between speeds is not possible with the current fine system afaik.
MikeTheGray Dec 3, 2016 @ 9:15am
Do the fines scale up with your mod? Example, is 5 over less then 10 over? The higher the infraction the higher the fine?
J4CKI3 Jul 2, 2016 @ 2:24pm
Thank you. Normal SCS fines were over-the-top ludicrus. (This coming from a 12 year old)
Munchie May 1, 2016 @ 3:13pm
was like -20k for speeding.
:steamhappy:

War12100 Apr 1, 2016 @ 4:40pm
ya i am lvl 9 on the game so mayb that was it. i'll check when I get home.
TheKnoife  [author] Mar 30, 2016 @ 9:54am
What level is your save file? SCS uses a system where it gives a lower fine if you have a low level to compensate for not having insanely high fines in the beginning of the game.
War12100 Mar 29, 2016 @ 9:44pm
ok I am trying out your mod. I wasn't expecting it but I was speeding in a 30 mph speed zone going 45 the ticket price was 0 dollars.. I think there is something missing there. I hope you fix it cause I really hate paying 1500 dollars for going over 4 miles over the speed limit. though on this ticket it might have gotten close to that.
