consistently fails to import 31 assets. Mod is broken, please fix.
blc Feb 19, 2022 @ 10:49am
Yeah I think this mod is dead
Peractin Feb 19, 2022 @ 10:12am
Something isn't right. When you load the game, it just takes you through what appears to be an endless loop asking you to import failed images.

Same here, one million alerts for google drive textures. Please have a look at it.
ASigh Dec 11, 2021 @ 12:13pm
Hi, I'm not sure if you are still doing anything with this mod (what with the 2nd ed. now released) but I still play this regularly with my group. Recently the Google Drive links for the meshes and textures have gone dead, I think because Google changed some permissions within drive. If they are in your drive could you re-enable them?

With the Eclipse: Second Dawn release, would I be able to use the Second Dawn manual? Or would I still need to use the First Edition's manual?

(I'm a brand new player, so I know this question may not make sense.)

(to be perfectly clear: the distortion tiles are indeed under Shapers of Dorado, I just still find it confusing how others are supposed to use distortion)
That Scar Jun 24, 2021 @ 9:33am
I've read it and still don't understand if someone who isn't Shapers use time distortion...
That Scar Jun 24, 2021 @ 9:19am
I am selectively deleting objects from expansions to my liking (mostly because I plan to play with friends who hadn't seen this game at all and I myself don't know all the extras). I wanted to remove the distortion tiles but they seem to be missing anyways? There's an empty brown bag and I suspect that may have been for distortion tiles. Haven't read distortion rules so not sure.
Tip for anyone else selectively deleting stuff: look for expansion notches; but use overview for discoveries - they're missing notches.

Does anyone know of a second edition mod? Or are there plans to update/transition this mod to second ed? Thanks!
Zulix  [author] Aug 8, 2020 @ 6:39am
That box is a place only that player can view the objects placed in it. It's mainly for flipping over reputation tiles after a battle and picking the one you want, since that's pretty much the only secret info in the game
massivebri Aug 3, 2020 @ 2:28pm
forgive my ignorance, but when i load this mod, each player has a transparent box on their table next to the add/remove calculators. i can't seem to interact with them, am i missing something? cheers!
Nightingale Jun 24, 2020 @ 6:13pm
@drb1979 its probably the influence disks, at least for me.
drb1979 Jun 9, 2020 @ 5:44pm
When I load this mod it fails to load about 38 pieces. Is this expected, fixable, or figure out whats not loading?
echoboi8 May 18, 2020 @ 1:15pm
chances this mod is being upgraded to "Eclipse - 2nd Dawn for the Galaxy" soon?
Knaughx May 11, 2020 @ 6:08pm
Hi, wanted you know that your mod has been added to my collection: Board Game Geek - BGG - May 2020 - Best Mod for each of the Top 500 Rated Games. Collection here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086043930

The collection used this priority system:

1. Mod's Files Availability: Mod with all/most files still available for download
2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title
2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players
3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality
4. Table Setup/Ambiance: Mod with the best immersion with table, background, and other modeling.

Please also note that a mod that makes selection for this list very well could be one in which the mod author borrowed the majority of assets from another workshop listing, so full thanks to all who worked on a mod.

Thanks for your hard work!
eradicatorx May 7, 2020 @ 5:18pm
For the people that doesnt know how to put that availiable into the TTS, just subscribe and look for the game into the "Workshop" button.

Warn of the Tiles, the middle isnt been positioning rightly, i was thinking into getting all the components and move to another table to see if its a problem with the table itself.
eradicatorx May 7, 2020 @ 5:15pm
I saw that the positioning of the Hexes into the middle is weird, the Hexes doesnt stay into the right positioning to make the universe correctly
rogershrubber Apr 16, 2020 @ 11:05pm
Just opened a one player game to explore the components, and I noticed that some of the exploration hexes are in the wrong bags. There are some 100s in the III ring and some 300s in the I ring.
blc Apr 6, 2020 @ 10:49pm
Hex alignment has been like that for a while.
Ghost Cat Apr 6, 2020 @ 9:35am
I'm probably missing something obvious, but when I try and place map tiles, some lock into place correctly but others don;t fall in the correct places
[ ҉ ] raculot Mar 6, 2020 @ 7:46pm
Any plans to update or create a new version for Second Dawn For The Galaxy? Some nice changes to various components in it.
Zulix  [author] Jun 30, 2019 @ 6:15am
@king_bumi
Starting hexes are in each race's envelope with their playerboard. And no, there is currently no way to remove expansion modules except manually. I started working on a scripted setup, where you could choose which modules from which expansions you wanted to use, but ended up giving up due to my lack of scripting knowledge
Bumi Jun 29, 2019 @ 11:00pm
Hi, I can't seem to find the starting player tile hexes. Like, every race has a particular starting hex tile. Also, is there a way to remove the elements of the expansion? Thanks
Zulix  [author] Mar 11, 2019 @ 7:24am
@Memphismark Just hit subscribe here in the workshop, then load up TTS, it'll be in your Workshop games menu
Memphismark Mar 9, 2019 @ 5:43pm
How do you download this and set up in Tabletop Simulator???
Zulix  [author] Aug 23, 2018 @ 7:57am
Eclipse doesn't really have single-player rules. There was a player-made single-player mod on BGG somewhere a while back, but i can't find it to link it now. If I find it, I'll throw it in the mod.
UKM Lion66six[UK] Aug 21, 2018 @ 4:16am
I'm confused how this works. Downloaded it, it looks freaking awesome. Can I play single player with this? How does this work?
GoldenAura Nov 17, 2017 @ 2:57pm
Any groups playing this? Would love to get in a game or two.
CaliberX Sep 17, 2017 @ 8:17am
Thank you Zulix

CaliberX Sep 16, 2017 @ 8:54am

Grimorian May 18, 2017 @ 2:05pm
Any chance you could help bigdaddy with their mess? :) This is awesome!
Arnor May 9, 2017 @ 8:46am
Please add me if you need players!! :)
Jannick Soerensen May 1, 2017 @ 11:42am
THX @Zulix, Time to flip some pages. :) To the other settings - I think will try and see what I can do. ;)

@Hexpl0rer. I´m just about to finish 3 games on Ipad with a couple of players so its possible. (only 3 of 6 players left) I think people tend to forget taking their turn or has trouble loggin in. I for one part need to restart the game often because it crashes or looses connection in the Online menu.
hexpl0rer Apr 26, 2017 @ 12:22pm
@Jannick Soerensen - We have indeed played on the PC / Mobile port of the game. People kept leaving games, so very hard to actually finish one. :(

Let's see if we can round up some others to get a game going. I've been wanting to play a full game for a while now.
Zulix  [author] Apr 26, 2017 @ 4:51am
@Jannick Soerensen - I'm glad you're enjoying the mod!

For the Influence Discs, it's easy to copy/paste them when those techs are acquired. I thought about turning the Advanced Robotics and Quantum Grid tech tiles into bags with the discs inside, but I figured that might cause confusion trying to move/place those tiles, so I just left it to the Host to copy/paste them when needed.

As for Turn Order, this is another Host option. If Hosting, Options-->Turns gives you a menu where you can set turn direction.

As for the rulebooks, I just went through them and couldn't find any missing pages. Which pages were you not seeing? The "cards" are 2-sided. If you flip a card as you pull it off the stack, the next page is on the backside, so you can effectively read it like a true book.
Jannick Soerensen Apr 25, 2017 @ 11:34pm
This Work done is Amazing! I can´t imagine the time taken by scanning all details in!! Nice work! Unfortunately I did find some flaws. 1. Not all pages are in the rulebooks. ;) 2. All races lack the 3 extra dics when you research the Techs giving that,

The turn order marker is there, but how do you reverse the turn order in TTS?
Jannick Soerensen Apr 22, 2017 @ 10:00am
I have just downloaded this version of the Game. I Have it IRL and on IOS. I think I might even have played Hexpl0rer on Ipad. ;) I would love to join a game to see how it works, so if you could invite me to the group I would appreciate it. Thx in advance! ;)
hexpl0rer Apr 4, 2017 @ 1:19pm
Great. I see the group is invite only - would you mind sending me an invite?
Magi/Paul Apr 3, 2017 @ 3:05pm
Yes, we play semi regularly on TTS. We have a whole steam group for it. I'm always up for a game if I'm free
hexpl0rer Apr 3, 2017 @ 12:07pm
Anyone have a group that uses this regularly? I love Eclipse and its expansions and am looking to get some more games in.
Zulix  [author] Mar 24, 2017 @ 8:32pm
@i3IAzE Glad you've enjoyed it! My pleasure.
i3lAzE Feb 21, 2017 @ 5:32pm
@Zulix - amazing work, awesome. Thank you so much for getting a version with the expansions out. Incredible.
Zulix  [author] Feb 20, 2017 @ 6:02pm
there's a bag that looks like a single discovery tile on the tech board under the ancients and above the orbitals
i3lAzE Feb 20, 2017 @ 3:25pm
@Zulix - sorry for the seemingly obvious question - where are the discover tiles?
Zulix  [author] Sep 23, 2016 @ 1:35pm
I wouldn't know how to interpret a crash file anyways. sounds like a memory issue. It's a big mod, and TTS has an issue with not utilizing memory very well, and if your computer is a bit lower-end, it might hang during the loading. I've had issues on some other, bigger mods (Kingdom Death) on my system. Some things that helped me - As soon as you load up the mod, zoom way into the table and blindfold yourself until the load counter gets to 100%. Minimizes memory usage if the visuals don't have to render as it loads. If you can get it to load doing that, pop the rulebooks (which are big files to load in) into a bag and save the game, then load your save from then on instead of the mod so it doesn't have to load those up until you pull them out.
Gonkulator Sep 23, 2016 @ 7:37am
Thanks so much for doing all of this work! Need a little help. I've purchased Tabletop Simulator and subscribed to Eclipse + expansions. When I launch TS and load E+E, it sets up the board, asks me if I want to randomize what's in the center, then crashes. It told me to send you the crash file, but I was wondering if it's me doing something wrong or not launching something correctly.
Zulix  [author] Sep 17, 2016 @ 10:24am
Glad you've enjoyed the mod!

Re-counted the rep tiles. Indeed, I am missing a 4 - got that added in. Can't believe I never noticed this after all the games I've played. The Anomalies are shuffled by the randomizing zone upon loadup, you just peel off the top two. I kept meaning to remove the extra mutation bags from the Octanis bags, it just slipped my mind. Got that done too. Thanks for bringing these to my attention.

The rest all just seem like personal setup preferences that not everyone would want. Sticking with the default setting of "I want everything on my burger." If a player doesn't like onions and pickles, I leave it to them to scrape them off. Feel free to set up your preferences, and create a savegame to load when you host.

If anyone knows scripting, I'm pretty sure I could use that to create buttons to add each module to a vanilla setup without all the extra setup time. If anyone would like to show me how to use scripting to do that, I'd love to learn
