Lifecycle Rebalance Revisited Replaces this @uniqueostrich18

This doesn't seem to completely fix death waves. I had a fairly large population boom a while ago in my city and 10 or so years later the population suddenly drops by ~30k for no apparent reason. The extra deaths didn't even show up on the death rate graph.

going to try this as i believe the more popular "citizen lifecycle rebalance" mod makes way too many changes when all i really want is random ages moving in, fingers crossed all the comments are right and it still works

@ 28rommel
I thought before it didn't work anymore, so I removed it from an existing map and grew too quickly resulting in deathwaves, but after installing this mod again (and playing for a like 24h+ irl) I stopped seeing those, and now my population is growing steadily again (so basically eliminating the deathwaves.. That does not happen without this mod.

So I think it works perfectly fine (with current update and all DLC like Mass Transit, Park life, university, etc.).[/b]

Also, the code is on Github [github.com], so if above is just a coincidence, and the mod doesn't work, maybe someone can update it...
Zerschmetterling Jul 29, 2019 @ 1:13pm
Seems to work perfectly!!! :steamhappy:

I wish this mod was updated for us to use again.
Some of the other mods that are available to us (because this one is outdated), unfortunately have multiple functions attached to them (some that we feel are unnecessary or unwanted), and so having this mod that just randomizes the age of Cims that are moving-in, was great in basically eliminating the super death waves seen in game.

It's hard to tell if it's still working, since the mod was last updated over two years ago. :steamsad: So without knowing the original author - we all loved this little helpful mod. All currently subscribed 7k players MIGHT want to know that there is another, fully working mod available thats called "Citizen Lifecycle Rebalance v2.2" - please use this. @Akira: Sorry man if this angers you, that i posted it here, but we all just want no death waves =) Have a good one

Like the last post asked, can anybody advise if this is still working for them please? Green Cities/Mass Transit, etc.

Can anybody advise if this is still working for them please?

Jabel Jul 14, 2017 @ 4:55pm
Still working after MT?
stmSantana Feb 4, 2017 @ 10:32pm
This works in v1.6, thanks.
However, option - "Randomize incoming cim's education level" doesn't work? or, needs high level RCI?

Can I remove this mod later in the game, or will that brake my savegame ?
Prosas Aug 3, 2016 @ 5:55pm
Great mod, thanks! Very useful!

So this mod randomizes more the age of the tourists ?
Finwickle Feb 29, 2016 @ 10:07am
Thanks for the answer :-)
Akira Ishizaki  [author] Feb 28, 2016 @ 2:14pm
@Finwickle Yes.
Finwickle Feb 28, 2016 @ 2:02pm
Is this mod still working in patch 1.3 (Snowfall)?
protractor Feb 19, 2016 @ 5:45pm
Does this works in snowfall expansion pack?
Michiko Feb 13, 2016 @ 6:46am
Yes that feature was my request. It works better when your city is already built up. If you build new apartments and watch the citizens who move in, you'll notice some of the adults have some education levels already. Since this feature was implemented I usually have high education levels on average even with slower citizen aging speed (another mod).
Akira Ishizaki  [author] Feb 13, 2016 @ 3:20am
@mistahlova If the option is enable, each incoming cim's education level is determined based on randomly selected cim's education level and the incoming cim's age. I think that completely random education level breaks game balance. And this mod doesn't make highly educated children and so on.
mistahlova Feb 11, 2016 @ 11:11am
I love this mod, but I have a question. I noticed you included the option to also randomize cims' education level upon moving in. I started a new city with this turned on, but all the cims are uneducated. Did I misunderstand what this option is supposed to do or is this something you plan to add in the future?
Michiko Jan 17, 2016 @ 8:33am
Akira Ishizaki  [author] Jan 17, 2016 @ 7:46am
Michiko Jan 10, 2016 @ 10:33pm
Akira Ishizaki  [author] Jan 10, 2016 @ 7:28pm
Thanks for your request! Yes, probably I can respond it. I will try when I have time.
Michiko Jan 9, 2016 @ 8:56am
gorter127 Jan 5, 2016 @ 9:18am
Thanks for this great mod. It makes the game playeble without the annoying deathwaves.
ProBert Dec 20, 2015 @ 1:31pm
Fuc... death waves. I´ve lost 130k people in ten minutes.
I will install this mod now! :-)

Can i use it with the mod "lifespan changer"?
rovaira2 Dec 17, 2015 @ 8:57pm
I've been wondering why this wasn't in the existing game; good job. :)
schmip Dec 13, 2015 @ 10:52am
If for example an adult Cim moves in, will he be uneducated or have a random education level?
Blackdragonbird Dec 10, 2015 @ 5:47pm
OWWWYESSSSS! It is what whe needed all this time.
mistahlova Dec 10, 2015 @ 2:46am
Oh great news. Thanks a lot!
Akira Ishizaki  [author] Dec 9, 2015 @ 7:47pm
@mistahlova Yes. If you want to check that their initial ages have changed, you can use the other mod such as Favorite Cims and CitizenTracker .
mistahlova Dec 9, 2015 @ 4:53pm
This is very much needed. Have you done any testing?
