Darn, that sucks. Figured it was neat how you didn't need to go on a mega conquering spree of Europe to form Rome, oh well. Thanks anyway
AdvLeon  [author] Jul 5, 2017 @ 4:08am
@Diamond most likely this is due to recent updates. I have stopped deleloping this mod as forming the Roman Empire is now a decision built into the base game.
Tung, The Icelandic Lesbian Jul 5, 2017 @ 3:38am
When forming Rome, the name of the nation changes to "REE". Is this a bug?
CompactDisc May 8, 2017 @ 7:41am
This plugin is no longer necessary since its functionality is now in the vanilla game.
DrShocktopus May 8, 2017 @ 3:20am
are you going to update this?
BetterBite Jan 20, 2017 @ 3:00pm
And is it compatitable with it?
BetterBite Jan 20, 2017 @ 3:00pm
Does it remove the shitty decision that Extended Timeline has for Byzantium?
Crazy Oct 10, 2016 @ 12:05pm
@AdvLeon ok, makes sense
AdvLeon  [author] Oct 10, 2016 @ 12:03pm
@Dr0pp3d probably not, since the decision is in the base game now. However I will keep this one up for poeple wanting to play on previous versions.
Crazy Oct 10, 2016 @ 8:23am
@AdvLeon didn't know that, good to know. Will it get updated with 1.18?
AdvLeon  [author] Oct 9, 2016 @ 2:51pm
@Dr0pp3d That's because it was all already in the game as the ideas for a Roman Empire converted from CK2, I just used those in this mod.
Crazy Oct 9, 2016 @ 1:07pm
I saw from the wiki (http://www.eu4wiki.com/Roman_Empire) That the new Roman Empire uses your same ideas
Retardeano Jul 19, 2016 @ 2:55am
@AdvLeon Thats totally understandable! :)
AdvLeon  [author] Jul 18, 2016 @ 11:37am
@Retardeano I will update when I get the time. I got a job recently so im finding it hard to find free time to myself. :)
Retardeano Jul 18, 2016 @ 12:21am
Is it going to get updated?
jamiusb Mar 7, 2016 @ 11:34am
Yes, it works... lo... I was looking at a different Roman mod that hasnt been updated to the new patch. This one says its up to date. Sorry about the confusion.
CompactDisc Mar 2, 2016 @ 9:50pm
Well, Roman is a Latin culture for sure. But yes, Byzantine might be more sensible gameplay wise. Either way, the Roman culture lacks events and retinues in CK2, and I assume in EU4 as well. It would be nice to at least transfer some Byzantine events, maybe add some more.
AdvLeon  [author] Mar 2, 2016 @ 2:32pm
@CompactDisc it's ok. I'm still thinking of adding new stuff to this too. To be honest I don't really want to utilise the new Roman cultire added in Cossacks since it is in a weird culture group. I may just add the Roman names to my custom Roman Latin culture or something.
CompactDisc Mar 2, 2016 @ 10:25am
@AdvLeon Sorry then, I just assumed jamiusb was right. Thanks for keeping this up to date though, it's been a while since I played EU4 (ck2 period now), but I love your mod.
AdvLeon  [author] Mar 2, 2016 @ 9:17am
it is updated to the latest patch and has been for some time.
CompactDisc Mar 2, 2016 @ 8:51am
After Mare Nostrum comes out, I'm willing to take a look at updating the mod with some extra functionality. (More akin to CK2 Rome events) But until then I won't have much time to do so.
jamiusb Mar 1, 2016 @ 12:51pm
Any way the author can update this to the latest patch!? I really wanted to play this mod... been looking a long time for a playable version.
CompactDisc Feb 16, 2016 @ 6:00am
@Ryzaki, it can be ROM, REW, REE
Roman Empire, Western and Eastern
It depends on how it is formed. Byzantium becomes REE, Italy becomes REW. Don't know about ROM.
Ryzaki Feb 15, 2016 @ 9:19pm
Hey just asking,
what is the TAG of this country? Its not ROM
horngeek Feb 1, 2016 @ 11:05pm
When I hold Rome as a (Catholic) Roman Empire, would it be possible to disable the event about requesting Rome be returned to the Pope?
Dunkelheit Feb 1, 2016 @ 9:19am
thanks
AdvLeon  [author] Feb 1, 2016 @ 8:56am
updated to 1.15
AdvLeon  [author] Jan 31, 2016 @ 12:13pm
I'll be updating the mod when I have some time in the coming days. :income:
CompactDisc Jan 31, 2016 @ 12:11pm
If there isn't a response soon, I might start my own Rome mod. I have written a few ideas for special decisions and missions, mostly based on the CK2 ones.
Dunkelheit Jan 30, 2016 @ 9:33am
can you please update it
Harold B. Sachs Jan 27, 2016 @ 2:59pm
it changes to no government because it sets it to government types that dont exsist in EU4
CompactDisc Jan 27, 2016 @ 11:40am
@[TFM]bobcat, it can be ROM, REW, REE
Roman Empire, Western and Eastern
[TFM]bobcat Jan 26, 2016 @ 7:33am
what is Rome's country tag with this version?
Roostie Jan 19, 2016 @ 11:59pm
I figured it might be the custom nation thing. Thanks for taking a look at it.
AdvLeon  [author] Jan 19, 2016 @ 9:51am
@Dumpstertruck I have never tested it as a custom nation. It was only really intended for Italy and Byzantium. I will take a look to see if I can solve it though.
Roostie Jan 19, 2016 @ 9:49am
I still get the nogovernment bug. Any idea how to solve it? I started the game as a custom nation but then formed Italy. The event is there, and everything fires correctly, except the government thing.
Albertonotics Jan 8, 2016 @ 6:20pm
Go Add Division of rome
LJR Dec 30, 2015 @ 11:24am
First of all, love your mod, thanks :)
So I made a new flag for the empire that I think fits more aesthetically, specially when using other flags mods, just in case you like it and want to add it, or just for those who want to:

AdvLeon  [author] Dec 17, 2015 @ 3:11pm
I believe I have fixed the no government issue. Please let me know if there are any other problems!
Eppela Dec 17, 2015 @ 8:03am
fixed?
AdvLeon  [author] Dec 15, 2015 @ 2:13pm
@Microsoft Excel I'm working on fixing it. It seems the latest patch broke it.
Your Alcoholic Dad Dec 15, 2015 @ 2:12pm
I don't know if its just because I'm playing with the extended timeline mod, but when I go from Byzantine Empire to Roman Empire, the government type switches to nogovernment.

If this is a glitch could you please fix it? Other than that, great job! :D
Shore Dec 9, 2015 @ 12:28pm
Just one nitpick, most of the cultures that are accepted such as lombard are descendant of the tribs which destroyed the roman empire. It would make more sense to give a bonus to culture conversion rather than have the accepted cultures.
SkyHasCheese ☭ Dec 8, 2015 @ 2:58pm
bugged, doesn't work entirety.
It changes to an non existent government.
Syberilot Dec 8, 2015 @ 9:01am
Any ideas about the government type changing to no type of government after becoming Roman Empire?
AdvLeon  [author] Dec 1, 2015 @ 2:18pm
Updated to 1.14. Let me know if you have any problems! :)
AdvLeon  [author] Oct 31, 2015 @ 9:26am
@olgapåøya If I were oing for more historical accuracy then yes, but the main point of this is to have the cool Roman ideas and name
armzngunz Oct 31, 2015 @ 3:47am
If you form it as Byzantium, shouldn't it just keep the byzantine ideas and greek culture?
