Is it possible to make some canals with a 30, 45 and 60 degree angle ? most European cities, especially Amsterdam are not made out of simple square grids, like they do have in the US. So I can make my hometown Amsterdam,a bit more realistic :)

Hello,
Is it possible to fulfill your canal by the water of the river when is going to be connected ?
And does the door works to fullfill the entrance for the boat and empty it when is coming out/in of the entrance to the other canal or going to the river ?
Thanks for your answer.
By the way, it's very nice job.

Does the Canal lock work, or is ist just a static? Can I switch it to let water flow through it?

thanks

Thank you for this amazing feature!

This collection is missing at least 4 things required by assets in this collection.

Required by many:
Terraforming tool 0.9

Required by Canal Block 12x4:
Portable Toilet(Prop)
Semi Truck Trailer Prop
Dream Crane [PROP]

They should be included for convenience.

非常漂亮,很有艺术气息的设计

Like these canals and locks. Would love to see a Dry Canal... a Dry Dock with Dry Locks.
Raynor Feb 9, 2017 @ 10:00am
Any chance of merging these? Mod mod list is getting kinda long and it'd be nice to condense it a little.
Mandari Dec 7, 2016 @ 1:58am
this is one of my favorite collections, do you plan to have any new ones added?
Mirrrie Nov 28, 2016 @ 5:01am
Super. I really love them all. Thank you so much for sharing them
Direwolf2k20 Sep 29, 2016 @ 4:00am

What the heck is the point of adding those 3 (Peanut's Revenge)

Hey GCVos. First, thanks for your work.
However, the reason for posting.... :)
Could you add the dream crane, toilet and Semi prop to the list, so they're not missed from subbing to all here :)

I feel like this collection needs some lovin, still prefer using this ones over 1.4, those look too clean and super wide but this is just perfect:steamhappy:

@ Macronomicus: Using standalone walls alongside new canals is a better option. The Metropolitan ones work really well especially with Anarchy / No collision mods enabled, you can just overlap the sides.

@ Rootninja: Not entirely, these use a lot less space and there's no need to check the water level. With that said I now also prefer using the 1.4 canals.
Rocha Apr 10, 2016 @ 4:39pm
I think this has become ueless with the 1.4 update
Macronomicus Mar 22, 2016 @ 10:00am
Any chance these can use the new canals & quays features to have water in them? Im not sure how difficult that would be but it could be cool, might need a new set though I love yours! Ive not tried making mods with water canals yet, might not be possible?
TUD_Looneytunes Mar 6, 2016 @ 11:10am
anybody has a video on how to assemble this into something nice? (you can also post on my profile please)
Geert27 Feb 27, 2016 @ 6:04am
I noticed that I really need a 6x4 canal block in my city. It would add just a bit more flexibility when trying to fit your canals, since the other blocks are all in steps of 4 (4x4 8x4 12x4 16x4).

The canals are doing great in my Amsterdam/Rotterdam mixed style city, great job on these!

I´am 3D-Designer myself, and this is great :-):steamhappy:

Magnificent job and artistry. Keep up the great work.
Kate Jan 2, 2016 @ 7:52am
These are AMAZING! Fantastic work. As a suggestion, the city I live in has something called a WaterFire [waterfire.org] which has little fires along the river at night. If you could somehow add that to an After Dark ability, it would be incredible! :)
Boreas Dec 29, 2015 @ 8:12pm
GCVos, could you possibly include a filler block of water that doesn't collide with other objects? I am trying to make multi-level canals using your canal locks. Just 1x1 of water would be perfect for fitting on flat ground.
Safe-Keeper Dec 17, 2015 @ 10:11am
Pretty odd that PC Gamer would do that without telling you :D
But now you can advertise the mod as "As featured in PC Gamer" :)

Wow that's amazing! Thank you so much for letting me know, I had no idea!
And thank you for developing such an awesome citybuilder!
Azure  [developer] Dec 16, 2015 @ 12:49pm
I just read PC Gamer's January 2016 magazine today, and lo and behold, your canals are featured as a mod. Congratulations and thanks for making Cities: Skylines the amazing game it is.

Sincerely - myself, Paradox, and Colossal Order

Thanks everyone! I'm really happy with the set and how it's been received so positively!

4x4Ci is one block I still wish to add in the short term, I recognize difficulties placing the original C. Other parts I'm postponing til well... I feel like making them again. :)
Safe-Keeper Nov 13, 2015 @ 8:26pm
Love your work. Just added canals to my city and they look fantastic.
tierdropp Nov 12, 2015 @ 12:15pm
I'm lovin' it!
Zavia Nov 12, 2015 @ 8:17am

excellent work! thank!

Double woo!
GCVos  [author] Oct 24, 2015 @ 2:17am
It's been published hope you like it :D
pindakaas Oct 24, 2015 @ 12:17am
Woo!
GCVos  [author] Oct 23, 2015 @ 11:02pm
@Rewdmister: You have to connect them by hand ;)
@Shallots: 4x4X happens to be the next upcoming block
pindakaas Oct 23, 2015 @ 8:11pm
Perhaps also an ETA on the 4x4X... I mean, the T does suffice but it's quite offputting.
-lizitiss- Oct 22, 2015 @ 3:07pm
the path blocks dont allow cims to walk through them to a path
TheVoidstone Oct 22, 2015 @ 1:24pm
Any eta on the endcap block? :)
GCVos  [author] Oct 18, 2015 @ 1:12pm
Thank you :) 45 degrees will be very hard to do without screwing up the hole in the ground. It would likely only work like 4x4C using Road Anarchy. 3-way already exists as 4x4T and 4x4Ti. ;)
RQuercus Oct 18, 2015 @ 6:28am
Very nice work, indeed. :-)
Suggestion for future update: 45/135 degree angled block or 3-way intersection would be nice. :-)
GCVos  [author] Oct 17, 2015 @ 4:40am
Thanks! You'll have even more fun increasing park budget to 200%. Blue everywhere XD
Benny Beanpicker (NL) Oct 17, 2015 @ 3:08am
great work a special CS update just for your canalblocks so houses along side will increase in land value this makes it even harder to ressist them lol
pindakaas Oct 13, 2015 @ 6:01pm
If that alone were the only feature in the next DLC, I would pay full price for that.
GCVos  [author] Oct 13, 2015 @ 12:44pm
It would have to become a network like roads, certainly not something I can do :P
pindakaas Oct 12, 2015 @ 9:28pm
... What if there was a way to make the canals function like the roads do... Then not only could you actually utilize them for transport but you'd also get the water flowing... Now how would that work...
