this mod is historically correct! as the romans did use units of war dogs at all stages of the empire they were for instance used by the easten empire to great effect against the heavy archer units they often faced and the west used many of them to keep the german tribes inline as they were made up of mainly gaint wolfhounds and as such were effective againt many that would try and rebel against rome

@Minos, I know some dogs were used, but I didn't know whether the Romans used them, but I wanted a dog unit for them, so I just put that in so people don't come moaning like they usually do lol :P

Hell, they even wore amour :D

It is historically correct and they were used by all nations, so pls make war-dogs for every nation :)

War dogs were used by the Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Sarmatians, Baganda, Alans, Slavs, Britons, and the Romans.

Often war dogs would be sent into battle with large protective spiked metal collars and coats of mail armour.

During the Late Antiquity, Attila the Hun used giant Molosser dogs in his campaigns!
