I'm not having this issue. This looks like an engine thing, or another addon. There's nothing in the code for this addon that does anything like that. It's probably another addon screwing with things, or you have a console variable or other setting enabled somewhere that is making the engine render the projected texture frustum like that... or gmod itself is broken since a previous update and is screwing with things. The light also has a three-axis handle rendered at its origin, so it's probably a debug setting of some kind. All I can suggest is either check/clean your addons or see if you have any bad console settings enabled.

I’m still here and still working on addons, I’ve just been busy for the last few years, and haven’t updated or uploaded anything in a long time.
The gmod build of the Source Engine doesn’t support volumetric lighting, as far as I know. However, I have been trying to invent and implement something similar and adding it to this addon. It’s not going well, though.
Is there any given chance that the creator of this addon still its alive,
Its possible to add volumetric lighting to garry´s mod in the same manner as SFM?
So...
