yes the effect is the same for the AI as well. There is no change from the AI part of thinking from my side which means sometimes the AI doesnt realise their ranged units are overlappy and their missile fire dps can be very low. This is not my fault but it's the CA AI programming.

I just tested this in a custom battle. It seems that this mod goes a long way towards stopping that AI cheat of firing over heads and into melees. They still loose a few arrows occasionally but not like the huge amounts before. Danke!

It’s not possible to make separate rules for those two types of units. It’s just one behavior for everyone and even there very restricted. I only reduced the effect of your units aiming at friendly’s, if they get hit the still get 100% damage. With my mod it is very possible to create ff just much less than in vanilla.

In fact, I like the friendly fire done by missile units, I think it encourages more tactical play/decision making with them, but having to micromanage your melee infantry with precursors isn't really that fun. So is it possible to diffrenetiate between these two things, or is it simply one value for all units? Thanks again.

You're a lifesaver man, playing as the Franks you end up losing entire units to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friendly franciscas being thrown at retreating units.
