"Balanced?" Requires an alchemy engine, does a *TINY* bit more damage than a spear, which is generally cheaper, and is much more expensive than a spear. If you need so much flint, and an alchemy engine, at least buff up the damage.

The spear's base damage is, I believe, 34. Thirty nine doesn't quite seem worth the 8 flint for a 5 damage increase :/

tried it out right now, works without any problems for me. can craft and use it. im willing to help if i know what cases your problems. i think other mods u use make my mod not work. 900 subscribers currently, i think its working fine for the most of us so far.
