Great graphics and smooth gameplay. I really enjoyed this game and I feel as if it was to the quality of a purchasable game. I look foward to further features and I hope you do well with future development! :)

For me, the biggest issue is an inability to immediately tell where my borders are. There's "getting used to the map" and "not being told that the big vacant space in the middle of the room can't be crossed." It's all dark which definitely helps the atmosphere and style, showing off good particle effects, but one loses something in a sense of being able to use peripheral vision during a firefight to tell which elements are boxes/impediments and which are different floor tiles.

That said, I had fun and will keep my eye on this.

Great gmae has some good potenetials. The mechanics could use some cleaning up but otherwise it is great. Your best strongpoint right now is the visuals. The visuals are soooo good!

If its letsplay/preview/review whatever related to the void raiders, its fine to use the music.
Well, tbh. its not about keeping some ideas hiden, but more like too early to make a definitive decision and make false promise.

Regarding music: I dont own the rights, Bocuma owns the rights and yes, the music is copyrighted and no, you cant use it unless you want to make video about this game or you aquire rights from Bocuma. Sorry

Dynamic difficulty: It wont be needed, in future releaseses, dont want to say more about this issue right now and make false promises, but belive me, it wont be needed.;-)

maybe upping the difficulty as time progresses would serve the game very nicely, I just beat is at lvl 4... I spent a lot of time waiting for health regen though. Making more enemies spawn as the time progresses will balance that perk well. you can do this with the time lines feature I think. Not realy sure. Just a thought though.

Thanks for telling me where I can follow progress, I will deffinately tell all my friends about this as they will all love it, its also the 1st twin stick shooter I have ever played and I might start playing more games in the genre soon. Also, is it ok if I played the game in the background of my youtube videos? And if yes is the music copyrighted?

Hi MLGandeh! No need to sorry, im glad someone like the game so much he commented five times on it!;-)
Right now you cant purchase game anywhere, but if you want to support the game development, then visit game indieDB profile(not sure the link will work: http://www.indiedb.com/games/abyss-raiders ) time to time to check on news(there s lot of changes every week based on players feedback), tell your friends you like the game and support the game by voting yes when it ll go to greenlight(planned for next month). If everything ll go well there ll be early access pretty soon along with free versions releases.
Wanking issue, yes, its there :-/ ... it ll probably be removed in one of the upcoming releases and replaced with mission objectives texts and explanations(as there ll be more complicated objectives than collect/kill xy in future missions).

Death screen bug ll be checked and if confirmed i ll fix it till next release(13 days left and it ll contain reworked Gudrun, new dungeon, new enemies, new boss and many enhancements), thanks for reporting it!

I removed this post: 'Just encountered a bug, when you are on the death screen and press escape the game crashes. or freezes, dont know, it just stops. Maybe its just me but it happened.' that I made as I found it was the pause feture still working, however it looks realy strange as it apears over the death text causing me to believe it is a crash. In order to fix this you could make it so there is a variable made when the player is dead stopping the pause from being activated. Just an idea, you probably have a better method for this but yeah, just a thought.

Brilliant. Love it, only thing I want to say is its a bit hard to see some of the edges but other than that I love it. Nice work man.

New version is up and running!
- added new playable character - Gudrun the Blade Dancer.
- difficulty lowered.
- various visual enhancements added.
- enemies casts their own light so they are now visible in dark places.

Bug fixes:
- game no longer crashes with outdated directX(you shuld still update it for best experience).
- grenade crash fixed.
- other minor bugs fixed

Well, i would love to make the game online multiplayer, but as i started wirking with game maker just three months ago im afraid is outside of my intelectual capabilities right now. However game ll have ranking system, and endgame content that ll encourage competing against other players to get unique rewards. (in short, it ll be scoreboard with rewards)

@Kedds: Well there is no other way(as far as i know) to change your sprite than use of sprite_index. As im not sure i understood proprely whats your problem with it, I can show you how i handle sprite changes in this project. Please note im changing animation based on position of mouse towards the player object. Hope that ll help you understand how simple using of sprite index is:

mangle = point_direction(x,y,mouse_x,mouse_y); // angle between player and mouse cursor

if (mangle < 45 ) sprite_index = spr_boris_right;
if (mangle > 315) sprite_index = spr_boris_right;
if (mangle > 135 && mangle < 225) sprite_index = spr_boris_left;

Hey, could you explain how you got your characters to switch sprites? I use "sprite_index=[sprite name here]" but it only lets me change to one other sprite, though I want to make it look like he can also turn left and right was well as up, but it only works for him turning around and walking up. Not turning left and right or down. Help?

@DS: Next playable character ll be melee specialist. If you meant melee attack for situations when you are out of ammo then i ve got good news as well, Boris ll receive pistol with unlimited ammo as a backup weapon.

This is fun, fast-paced, and a game with lots of trial and error, and I love it! Only problem I had was that it seemed like some of the enemy grenades' explosions were exploding in random places, or not at all. I'd love to see this get greenlit!

First, thanks for kind comments guys! Well, the greenlight...tbh im worried about it, game marketing is almost non existant, when i try to do proper marketing i feel like iam wasting time i should be spending by adding more content and improving the game...is kind of like running in circles;-) We ll see by the end of next month as there ll be quite big update. In the meantime there ll be another playable character added by the end of next week. Thanks for your support!

Hi again Rider! Hmm, thats strange, very strange as if you made it to boss you should have received this error thousand times earlier.... however i found my sister is having same problem so there ll be definetly more ppl receiving this. Fix is on the way as i decided i ll let users disable shaders and replace them with not so nice, but hard to tell the difference in motion alternative. Unfortunately fix wont be aviable in next version as options screen is planned for big updated at the end of next month.

Hi Tryzna. Thank you for your attention to my matter. When my directX is updated to 11 version from 9.0, the 'Out of Memory - Fatal Memory Error' no longer exists. But my PC encounters another error. When I control the character to hit the Boss, a window is prompted suddently and it said :

"FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation
ShaderName: sh_flash

D3DXCompile failed - result
