Amazing mod really, but the trairtor's cards no exist here? the escape plane and dynamite card

I had already made the changes, they were not a big deal and they've been done as you asked. I am having to address numerous people here, I was explaining to LOMDR why, when it clearly says contributors on the side, I had not already attached you, with the way things were being worded even he got the impression I attempted to cut you out of credit.

I had been using this file, and still am, to add new content for my own personal use with friends. All I was trying to do was let other people have access to more material for a great game incase they had gotten a little burned out on it. I was not trying to step on anyone's toes, or steal credit, and I did everything that I realized at the time to attempt to ask you (I'm not saying you should have accepted a random invite, i'm saying I didn't see the other options and i'm not going to ignore comments that imply I am trying to steal work). All I wanted to do was give people access to more variants. That was it.

I really don't need to get the contributor status for this mod. I don't think anyone really looks at (or cares about) that stuff anyway. Being in the description is enough. I just wanted to make sure they are getting the best version of a mod (that I am a part of) that they can. So no, I'm not asking you to take down the mod. Just please make the modifications I asked of you? Just a simple notepad editing and removal of 24 FLOOD tiles.

I'm trying to be diplomatic about all this, but I kind of don't appreciate that you make it sound like it's my fault for not adding you as a friend, when I honestly, at the time, had no reason to. Why would anyone just accept random people's friend requests?

Ahh, okay, thanks for that insight. Been curious when I've seen mods w/ more than one creator here and was wondering how that could happen

The way it happens in workshop is there is a contributor section where I can add people to, but only people from my friends list. Again, I tried to reach out, I did not think about posting in the original mod and it flagging, but I did try to reach out and even when I couldn't still gave credit. If you'd add me i'd do more, but again, can't if you aren't on friends list.

Not to jump in unhelpfully, but I do think that Gadget should get co-creator status, just didn't know how that would happen in the workshop

I didn't say I wanted you to take it down! I was only mentioning my problems with it because of the changes I thought that didn't make sense. Basically, since my name is kind of on this thing, I *need* it to make sense, otherwise I think it kinda looks bad on me, since this is almost a direct copy. I'd just like for you to modify the notepad so it doesn't have the step that tells you to highlight and lock down the preset tiles, and also for you to delete 24 of the FLOODED tiles.

And for the record, my comments section is open to the public on my profile. I set it up that way in case anyone wanted to contact me...yet no one has ever used it. Haha. You also could've commented on my mod. It's not like it was impossible to communicate with me!

Yes, I attempted to add you and contact you for this very reason before I did anything but, alas, steam won't let me just send a message unless we're friends. Yet I tried, and even mentioned both the fact it is your mod with minimal changes right now (yet actual gameplay changes) and mentioned i'll kill it if you have a problem with it. As I said I had further plans for it and this was just to let others play with some additions that my friends and I actively use until I got that far (and fixed certain problems like the chance-backs).

I'll take it down, no worries.

Okay, so...it's not that I really mind that you took pretty much my exact mod (which I worked hours on) and just added a few cards, but it's more of a complaint of how you are changing it. It's fine to not want the preset tiles in the center, but it makes no sense for you to have just added those tiles to the FLOODED tiles deck, since island tiles are 24, not 48. The instructions I wrote on the notepad now make no sense, because there are no preset tiles. :(

By the way, it's finally clicking that you tried to add me as a friend on Steam. I always ignore those if I see we have no connection. Did you want to add me as a co-creator of this mod or something? o_o

Will do, and hopefully someone would translate the rules for the 5th treasure mini expansion that Gamewright published...in spanish only. I think it's supposed to be a donkey of sort that 2 players must team up to carry to the helipad, but nothing on movement rules so far.

It did :P but that doesn't mean it wasn't good advice and something I needed to hear and learn. As I said this was my first attempt at a custom, and I want to do a lot more with it and make it as good as I can so I will definitely hear anyone out; and in your case these are changes I want to make. Let me know if you see anything else and keep an eye out for the other updates I add with new content.

They accidently got deleted. I am not where I can update the cards me and LOMDR talked about, but this was an easy fix. File should be updated/correct now as far as that is concerned.

I think the challenge cards are supposed to be separate from the rest, only drawn if one wishes to do a specific challenge. And I kinda take back on the treasure power, as it is a bit more difficult to see what treasure goes to what set, probably keep it as is and just have it take up 4 slots in the treasure deck template, but have them dealt out in a separate set of 4.

Oh okay, I gotcha on the challenge/chance cards now. I will update that with the proper backing. Misunderstood the rules how they were implemented. That actually makes things easier and I can create them and the power cards in the same deck to ease up on resources.

I think the chance cards are supposed to be mixed into the Treasure deck, much like how the airlift, sandbags, and Waters Rising cards appear in the treasure deck. Also, the reason why I suggested using the same role cards from Artscow as the customs were is that you don't have to fiddle with hunting down the card textures for the roles used in Forbidden Island + custom layouts and instead just have the textures ready at the go in the deck builder. Would also help doing that to make it easier in regards to lag due to how the engine decides to render cards (1 deck using custom fronts and backs is much easier to render than many smaller decks that are the same ratio/shape). Granted this is coming from someone that took a peek at the TTS wiki before working on his first full card mod of his own (Quarantine, I do have plans in regards to certain tiles)

Also yeah, from the source, I had no backing for chance/challenge cards. So those are temporary fillers until I can find or design something better. Would also be open to any ideas for new backings there.

Not sure if I understand the problem with the chance cards you're saying, since they wouldn't be mixed in with the role cards anyway. As for the new role cards and size variance I have been dropping them straight on to the base role cards and they resize properly for me that way with TTS's built in tools. That being said, I do intend to update this, and it was my first custom, so it's somewhat a WIP. Just wanted to go ahead and release what I did have since it's functional and adds a lot more to the game currently as is.

Grabbing the stock 6 and re-adding them is a great idea though, i'll get on that update.

As a heads up, the Chance cards, new role cards, and treasure power cards are kinda hard to shuffle into the prexisting decks as the deck backs vary greatly from the stock game (Treasure Power and Chance into Treasure deck and Role cards into its proper deck) (much like the role deck in the stock retail game). Also, if the english rules ever surface for the Fawn mini expansion, you can source a donkey meeple from Caverna (though I can understand if you want to ask them). Just thought to let you know. I guess if you can get the images for the original treasure deck you can easily change the backs to be all the same for the treasure deck. I think you can also grab 6 redesigned stock role cards from the same source if you got it from where I think you got it (artscow?). Hope this helps
