im changing the cannon shot sound of 170mm gun, exactly how you tell me years ago, but it doesnt work anymore, it keep using original sound of 203mm that not even exist (even with hidden file revealed)
also putting actual mod size in description would be nice
I dont mean all vehicles from all all factions/nations (that would certainly lead to a crash). I just meant all units that are included in one nation. So for example Germany wouldn't get units from Hungary etc. but it would be able to randomly spawn it's own units from the different timeperiods (Early war, Mid war, Late war and Post War) as opposed to being limited to one timeperiod during a match.
If so it will has a high risk on crashing, so it's probably not possible on AS2.
Recently I tested the memory usage limit, each faction use around 1.5GB memory space, a blank map assets took about 1GB, so if you load all of the units it will easily exceed 4GB limit and crash.
Could you add a time period where all vehicles of a nation would be used randomly? This could work out like a "Post-War" setup but with the difference that the AI would still use units from 1939, 1941 etc. When using this period the "random vehicle buttons" could then also spawn random vehicles from all time periods. IMO this would be a great addition to this already incredible mod!
1. Difficulty setting will effect player bonus like HP, in Easy player/Allied AI have 500% HP buff, but in Hard or Heroic player/Allied AI doesn't have any bonus.
2. Heroic AI got many map support skill, like bombers/ off map artillery/ special forces/ airborne troopers.
3.You can't toggle the Difficulty config because it's heavily scripts, unless you know how to write script functions.
Also, is there a config I can access to adjust difficulty settings?
Thanks.

Wow, I didn't expect I will get so many feedback. My SSD is dead so I re-install my OS this month, so i don't browse my workshop page these days. You mention too many questions(or comments) so I don't know how to answer all of them. Just some quick points:
1.Hard is design for coop players, so it might really tough if you choose it in single play. Also enemy faction has different level, a hard Russian is way stronger then Hungary or Italy.
2.Some confusing tutorial text in game...because none of us are English user, so the translation or text/UI display is hard to read. We may try to improve this in the future.
3.Tank upgrade: T-34-57 is put in late tech tree and consider better then T-34-76, so you can't upgrade a T-34-57 to T-34-76, but it may upgrade to T-34-85 in 1944 as I remember.
4.203 mm and 280 mm corps means you might got a 203 or 280, depends by luck.
Several players have this experience, some people find they have flags disappear if they turn on war fog. I can't reproduce this bug so I don't know how to fix it. I can only just suggest turn fog off before we find thesolution.
This mod is incompatible with almost any other mods, so it can be only apply on its own. The incompatible warning message on web page is added by steam workshop administrator(volunteer players) and we can't remove it. The mod is workable without question, I have tested it this week with friends and doesn't crash in two hours gameplay. If you still encounter crash you can post the crash log so we can find out what happened.
*note
If you don't have enough RAM it may crash cause this mod eats 4GB ram.
(You need at least 8GB+ RAM on your PC.)
On NORMAL Difficulty with a German enemy and an enemy's ally (Italy), The enemy has artillery across the foggy border of the map in the preparation phase, and so I can't see it, even though it shoots at me. I put a 152 MM Howitzer behind the HMG Tower on the left hand of the fortified line, and it scored a hit somewhere, but then its crew got hit by enemy artillery.
With three minutes left before the match, enemies come in from the South road behind your forces. About 1.5 minutes before the enemy wave comes, a few tanks come from the North and the screen opens up so that you could race to an empty enemy Howitzer directly north of your little wooded oasis-style tree patch with the ruined truck. You could get it with a tractor defended by your tanks, or get it with infantry.
At first, I reached a bit of a stalemate on it on NORMAL mode with early Heavy tanks playing as Russia on defense against Germany. This is because I have a decent set of defenders (2 KV2s, heavy mortars and a 203 MM mortar gun), but their last tank wave has a ton of heavy tank enemies. On one hand, I slowly run out of ammo, but on the other hand, they move very slowly or get stuck. Next, I ordered the "203 mm and 280 mm corps" from Support, although it just gave me a 280 mm gun.
- When I finally beat the level on Hard, a mass of enemy soldiers poured in through the north end of the map, so there really isn't time to make the inheritance system work well, as I don't have time to load my units into their tanks. WHat happens is that when you capture your second to last enemy flag, a giant mass of heavy tanks comes through the north end on the map at least at two spots. It seems the best strategy then is to kill almost all the enemies around the two remaining flags, and then load your soldiers into tanks and then capture the flags. I really don't like Hard mode because it's so tedious. The Men of War series was originally made for missions where you just have a small team of special forces. It's heavy on micromanagement.
- The Paradrop function in this mission has your plane drop bombs, but it seems that they are so strong that they blow up your own plane and the enemy flag that I was trying to capture - the flag's X from the map is gone, but I also got a capture awarded to me. It must have killed all enemies there.
When you start as the defender:
-- You can send tanks, artillery, and supply trucks across the bridge directly south across the river. Halftracks and my Katyusha won't go over that bridge on that river.
-- You can send halftracks and tanks east along the north edge of the map.
-- Tanks and unhitched Artillery can slowly snake their way through the factory. This is a cool concept, but very "round about" and slow. In my view, the map was not designed well for defending.
-- Vehicles can get stuck on other routes, like sending trucks and tractors over trenches and through the factory.
-- My Katyusha launcher won't cross the river bridge or go over trenches like those on the north edge of the map, and just barely snakes through the factory.
The factory is such a maze that it's confusing for defenders how to get their tanks and guns to the front lines. The problem is that the starting area is small, and on your east side from the start of the map, your trucks are blocked by the factory, and on the south side, you are blocked by the river, although it has a single line indestructible bridge. The factory doors and inner hallway are too narrow and circuitous for your trucks to maneuver around inside without manual control. Your trucks and guns don't go over your trenches, but your tanks and halftracks can. In contrast, the attacker on the east side has a big open area that he can bring enemy trucks and tanks through.
Enemy artillery shoots at the first line of flags and defenses at the south end of the map during the prep stage. You could send a strong tank there in easy mode or shell it with a Katyusha before setting up forces at that line.
3 minutes into the prep time, enemy troops come in by the northeast corner, along the east road, so you can have infrantry with maybe light tank waiting there for them.
- Night Sneak uses the Seelow Heights map from MOW (original).
- Frag Town is in Germany
- Barren Hills' loading screen shows a KMT Chinese tank.
- River Bank looks like it is on a border river area, with a Russian building saying Sel Sovet (Village Council) on one side and border checkpoitns at the river. But you can't play as the Defender in this mission - the opening selections don't give you that choice. So you can't play as the Russians defending the area, like during Operation Barbarossa.
- "Cold Stream" and "Winter Hills" - These missions only let you attack (Skirmish style mode, not Defense). That's too bad because they would be nice as missions for defending the Moscow region like in MOW.
- It would be nice if the fuel on your saved vehicles refilled between missions.
- When you load your stored vehicles, they don't come with refreshed ammo. But you can resupply them with supply trucks.
- You can turn the Medics' automatic running fuction on/off in the Management menu: Medics automatically run to heal units even if it means running into gunfire and movement mode is on Hold Position. This can be good (it overcomes micromanagement) or bad (medics can die).
- On the Glubinka map, the instructions for "airdrop troops" doesn't fit on the screen. It says, "... and 1 of your air-portable vehicles..." It talks about a red mark for placing the troops, but the full message is unreadable.
- Ammo crates and supply trucks don't show the white circles for the range where they automatically resupply nearby units.
- When you play witht he saved troops mode, you don't get MP points as time goes on; the only way to get points for reinforcements is by collecting ammo from corpses and tanks and then selling them.
- On Defense, sending soldiers to the enemy's main HQ flag doesn't capture that flag, until after the last enemy wave.
- Initially, I couldn't find any obstacles to order, eg. AP/PP mines. It turns out that you can order them using your Heavy Ammo drops, like from your officer.
- It's good that you can make an AT trench using your tractor.
- The opening instructions say that in Management you can upgrade tanks. I put an empty T34-57 tank near my starting flag in the Early War Tanks Mode. I thought that I might be able to upgrade to a T34-76 tank. But I still don't see an option to do this in the Management section. I read the instructions, but there could be a glitch, or something isn't clear. I did get two upgrades, but I don't understand which tanks were upgraded, what triggered the function, etc. because other times I did have an empty upgradeable tank in my home flag area and the menu didn't show up.
- It's not clear what location it's at because the factory defense lines face east, like a German one would after Stalingrad. But the Stalingrad factory battles are famous, and the map's architecture reminds me of the factory in the MOW (original) Rostov mission.
- The set up for playing on Defense is tricky because it's hard to get your vehicles out of the starting zone, since they are mostly blocked by trenches, a factory, map edges, and a river on all sides.
- I beat the Open Battle mission on 2v2 (Russia vs Germany plus Italy) on NORMAL and it was kind of easy, so I'm thinking of doing a 1 v 2 on Easy. But it doesn't seem necessary because I've played 3 1 v1 maps already. Hard is almost too tough when I attack (skirmish mode), and Normal is almost too tough when I play with Heavy tanks.
Delete the vanilla fonts to save memory useage.
Pro:
1.Increase performance, reduce chance to crash due to memory limit.
2.Can display more German or other non-Englsih alphabet.
Con:
The fonts display in menu might looks ugly.
We haven't finish all the bugs yet. This is just a small update to increase the performance.
@rakovsky
We don't really build mission on history, this is a Customizable mod so we just use pre-exist made by someone. Everyone can use our asset to build their gaming experience.

Adding maps is actually easily, but there are too many things on schedule. I have written a tutorial for those who want to make their own custom skirmish maps, if you interests I can give you one.
