@Neetsco- Toggle It! can be set up to toggle building visibility.
Neetsco Jan 17, 2022 @ 7:34pm
Does anyone know if there is a mod or a method to hide buildings in order to see the raw zoning? similar to what SimCity had so I can more easily see what zones are where rather than having to look through and around buildings?
Sasquatch Nov 17, 2020 @ 3:53am
Nothing happens when I click the colored boxes in the menu.
MisterHamstring Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:02am
You're a life saver ;) :steamhappy:
NumbT#1 Apr 27, 2019 @ 7:02am
The mod works fine for me :D

except that the colour palette keeps going off the bottom of my screen :(
Mulciber Apr 24, 2019 @ 6:46am
As a representer of the color blind people, we salute you.
BLÀde Oct 31, 2018 @ 3:56am
still works in industries!
Toast9418 Jun 20, 2018 @ 10:03am
could we possibly see District Colours?
xxx78 Dec 10, 2016 @ 4:20pm
Thanks for this great mod :)
I have a problem: I dont have disaster dlc but I have all the others, and I get a mod error with this mod. is there any similar working mod out there?
Uber-n00bie Sep 25, 2015 @ 7:27pm
Is this compatible with After Dark?

I imagine there could be some issues given some recent changes. It has worked for me until now though.
avdi Jul 7, 2015 @ 2:04pm
Is it updated to the latest patch?
Breachie Jun 15, 2015 @ 12:16pm
hey could you make a mod that lets you change the colours of everything in the info viewer pannel, i would really appreciate it,
BLÀde Jun 8, 2015 @ 2:19am
never gotten this error and i play for hours sometimes. the only real issue is the icons don't align correctly if you use the silicon mod. but it's not really a problem.
.A  [author] May 25, 2015 @ 7:42am
Added a discussion thread for this error. Also included source code in the description and the discussion. If someone else wants to take a look please feel free! I'll try to find the root of the problem myself when I have more time.

Thanks for your patience all.
Muspell May 24, 2015 @ 12:35pm
on every city i start i get the error mentioned by Cahos. but if i save a new map after building a road and unlock zones i dont get this error
Cahos Rahne Veloza May 20, 2015 @ 4:08pm
This "error message" popup I've encountered is somewhat erratic and random.

There are times where I load a saved game and/or start a new city and it'll popup and there are times it won't :/

As for your question, yes the game still retains the colours you assign to each zone between loads.

And don't worry about not having time yet to look this bizarre issue. In no time two weeks would be here :)
.A  [author] May 20, 2015 @ 12:39pm
@Cahos - it's possibly they've modified the way data is saved and loaded. Do the colours persist between game loads?

I don't really have the time to try and fix it right now sadly - in a couple of weeks I should get around to it and can hopefully fix it :).

Thanks again for letting me know.
Cahos Rahne Veloza May 20, 2015 @ 6:41am
Just after two hours upon my initial test, the game suddenly started giving me this error report using this essential mod of yours.

A Mod caused an error [ModException]

Details:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at ZoneColour.ZoneColourLoader.OnLevelLoaded (LoadMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at LoadingWrapper.OnLevelLoaded (UpdateMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
ModException: A Mod caused an error

What could be the problem .A?

Incidentally the game doesn't crash, it just pops up a window AFTER you load your city with that error log in it and the game still runs fine otherwise.
Cahos Rahne Veloza May 20, 2015 @ 5:53am
I need these mods man, which is why I had to check up on 'em. And thankfully out of the twenty mods I use, every one of 'em are still compatible with patch 1.1.0b :)
.A  [author] May 20, 2015 @ 5:47am
@Cahos - Thanks again!!
Cahos Rahne Veloza May 20, 2015 @ 3:24am
"Zone Colours" mod working A~OK under update patch 1.1 :)
LegionOfMe May 5, 2015 @ 9:06am
Thanks mate, I'll give it a try then :)
.A  [author] May 5, 2015 @ 8:03am
@LegionOfMe - not so far as I'm aware. I've used inbuilt systems to save data and so nothing should be corrupted. If this is a problem I will have to take the mod down for a bit as I don't have the time to work on it immediately.
LegionOfMe May 4, 2015 @ 11:30am
does this mod break savegames if removed?
Ramses II Apr 29, 2015 @ 1:43am
@.A Thanks for the feedback too ;)
If you have any suggestions, just hand them in. Friend request is always open (as long as I have space)
Greetings Ramses II

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I appreciate it! I am just entering my exam season so have very little time to work on my mods for the next month or so - I'll try to keep them up to date though.

@Ramses II - No problem at all, the more people it helps the better! Thanks for making the guide, it looks super helpful!
Ramses II Apr 28, 2015 @ 8:50am
I included your mod in my guide:

If this is not ok, give me a shout!
ConductorSavy TTV Apr 19, 2015 @ 9:43am
Nice. While I'm not colorblind myself, this mod appears to be a great addition to the game with the purpose it was made for :D

Other than that, I can now set the colors of the zones I keep confusing for another zone.
Uber-n00bie Apr 17, 2015 @ 3:40pm
Still working fine here -- still have to save game and reload it (which is a minor pain) to get it working, but it works from that point on.
BLÀde Apr 14, 2015 @ 8:53am
weird it's not doing it anymore
[GA] Roachy Apr 13, 2015 @ 4:33pm
Just what I've been looking for! I'm not colorblind, but it's always annoyed me that Office zones are blue and not some variation of yellow. Well, now they're orange :D
.A  [author] Apr 12, 2015 @ 7:25am
@tjsnow76 - This is a feature that is easy to do, and I've included in my mod here . I can add it to this mod as well as a built-in option, but will need some time to figure out how to add it like that :)
tjsnow76 Apr 12, 2015 @ 5:06am
Is it possible to add a permanent zone-colour-on option?
Daimond Apr 11, 2015 @ 8:07am
Love the mod. Could you add in if its possable, the same ability for Districs ? Talking set ones, foresty oil and such. PS not talking about individual general ones, but if thats possable cool.
.A  [author] Apr 11, 2015 @ 6:25am
@BLAde - I don't have the same issue. Do you have any other mods active? Regardless I shall look into this.
BLÀde Apr 11, 2015 @ 2:40am
this never activates right away you need to save your map, exit to main menu than select continue for the color boxes to show up.
.A  [author] Apr 10, 2015 @ 2:00pm
@Rebel Vader, @kismet - Glad to hear I could help :)
Ashstructed Apr 10, 2015 @ 1:40pm
Fabulous mod! I know quite a few who play Cities and will def have to have them get this mod as they are indeed colorblind. Thank you very much for all your work!
Rebel Vader Apr 10, 2015 @ 6:47am
+1 From a colour blind person more games should have this
.A  [author] Apr 10, 2015 @ 3:16am
Thanks for the positive feedback all :).

@Baleur - I did try to modify this and some other stuff as well, but it seemed to be handled differently. I will try to add more features in the future though.
Baleur Apr 10, 2015 @ 3:10am
For some reason i thought this would allow you to recolor the district zones. Either way a great mod, but that would also be great :D
BLÀde Apr 9, 2015 @ 12:57am
finally now i can change the color of the high desnty R and C zones and acually see them!
Cahos Rahne Veloza Apr 8, 2015 @ 5:13pm
A definite must have +1

The default High Density Residential zoning tool especially needed this.
.A  [author] Apr 8, 2015 @ 2:35pm
Thanks for the comments everyone, it's much appreciated :).

If you have any feedback or suggested features please share them with me!
Timmiej93 Apr 8, 2015 @ 12:41pm
Very nice of you to create this mod. Often the colorblind are forgotten.
I myself am not colorblind, but I still appreciate you doing this work. Thank you :)
Ryzer Apr 8, 2015 @ 11:15am
Wonderful ; )
Blackdragonbird Apr 8, 2015 @ 3:15am
Suberb man. The default zones pallet are horrible, especially the High Residential, very difficulty to see.
SmokeyBear83 Apr 8, 2015 @ 12:23am
Yay, thank you so much. Much needed as I can't see zones when zoning high density residential
.A  [author] Apr 7, 2015 @ 5:08pm
@Scotland Tom - Thanks!
