the main guns cant turn at all, they only turn to what the mantlette allows them. also im having trubble starting the ship ive serched everywere cant find an engine.

ok i tried to remake the enterior but i literaly was about to get stress from trying to delete the enterior so i gave up and downloaded it again shame since i refitted it whit better looking guns

Also note that they spawn un-loaded, so turrets won't turn towards a valid target until they have been loaded, which can take some time due to realistic loading times.

There's a small problem I've noticed, I just downloaded and loaded this up today (Yamato is one of my all time favorite ships) and the main guns don't work, even when handed to the AI. Is there something I'm missing, or...?

Real Yamato also slopes down first after pagoda. Check this picture zoomed in for example where it is clearly visible:

I would like to reserve the right to submitt this myself when I get time and motivation to finish it ( so far I mostly switched out old engines to new ones and remade the entire engine rooms which was a huge task ), but more work needs to be done before it's ready.

ok i refitted it whit some better looking guns and allaround more effective guns and changed the hull a slight bit on the front and back so it looks more realistic (the deck at the front was like a curve down then up in real life it was just up so i fixed it) also i would like to ask if i can submit this to the from the depths custom campaign world war 2 dangerous waters (i will of couse give you credit for the hull itself) i can maybe send my version to you so you can upload it because this looks awesome

Main guns will fire at aircrafts and that is hillarious!
Must have been some sort of a bug (as I decided to have 2 Yamato's fight each other off)

Went over the ship again and I dont know what kind of sorcery you used to make all the AA guns work but its beautiful to see in action!

The firing speeds are 100% real now, so it takes 30 seconds to reload the big guns. It has cooling systems to reduce it down to 2 seconds if you want however. Press q on each of the 9 firing pieces and change "rate of fire" attribute from 2 per minute up to for example 20 or 30 per minute and it should do the trick.

Regarding guns shooting eachother each gun has a failsafe with 5x100m radius ( max ) so I am guessthing they are still bugged :(

Main guns are also set on AI to only shoot at targets larger then 1000 blocks, further away then 200m and to not try to fire at submarines. They should prioritize the biggest slowest enemy in range.

UNSCPro I have a similar version of the main guns wich fires a lot faster (once every 5 seconds) But I believe it to be sligthly bigger (It was inspired by this guy's main turret on the previous version of this ship)

Played around with it a bit and dear god the lag XD
The guns have a bad habit of shooting at each other, and for some reason the main gun seem to not want to track anything once in a while.
Also not sure about some of the shell types but what ever.


Overall though the ship looks amazing! How every gun is reproduced is simply awesome!
Perhaps you could fit back the..... forgot the name what puts a white line where it used to be in the main turets to fit the empty gap left by the lack of it. And also just for the heck of it and more lag why not have it spawn a single plane from the hangar?

hey alex, the main turret = the big guns, i fix it and it works, but the problem is 1, the reload is awfull, but is still a nice work, would you help me with making the big guns reload faster?!

Will probably end up using 4m anyway, and got a turret ready for them. But the 4m ones are not really where I want it to be in terms of speed and AP with 2m shells, so want to check the 8m version too ( still using 2m shells but with maybe 3 or 4m propellant ).

Glad your having fun experimenting with the new cannons too :)

It's glorious! But why are you waiting for an 8M loader? The yamato fires shells rougly 2m long (excluding propellant) and uses propellant again rouglhy 2m long!
Also I had some fun trying to remake the turrets from your Yamato using the new canons. Tell me if you want to see it. (There's still some work to be done and maybe I could have fitted a beam or 2 more in there but it works fires the right shells and almost fits in the size of the older turrets (requires 2 blocks more to fully turn))

I think the lag is caused by the large amount of working turrets and use of many different kinds of blocks. Especially if you bring it into a fight.

For accuracy I used a high resolution picture with the ship from 3 directions, and overlayed a grid that was scaled to match 1x1 meter squares. That helped alot to get the basic size and relation of things in place.

amazing creation. i love the antention for detail and this is easely the best ship i have seen(looks wise). the cannons could use somme buffing and somme optimalisation is needed(was somehow laggyer than the 61k blocks version of the yamato on the workshop) (i dont know for sure but lowering game quality might help with that.)

and how did you get it looking so accurate if i may ask. im trying to make the kongo-class battleship but im having problems with the shaping of the hull.

Only way to further optimize block count that I can think of is to either remove all the smaller turrets, remove all interiors and interior detail of the ship. Which do you prefer?
