What a fantastic quest ! Can't believe I have been playing Skyrim for over a decade and missed this until now. The dark corridors, scary monsters, puzzle rooms, hidden keys, maps, etc. - for me it magically evoked the same thrills/emotions as playing the original Dungeon Master on Atari in the late 1980's. Great job !

You could take a look at the maps lying around. Red crosses marking keys. If you tell me which key you're missing i can tell you where it is.

Normaly if you have the empty Red Book in your inventory, you just have to "activate" the gap in the bookshelf to replace it.

If this is not working, its a bug, probably a script wasnt loaded correctly. Possible soluions at this point would be to reload a savegame before you picked up the Red Book and try again.

OR you can use console "tcl" at the shelf and move right through the wall. Just make sure to deaktivate tcl directly behind the wall, to not miss any triggerboxes there. This secret panel would close behind you anyway so it is not dramaticly to use tcl at this point.

how do I replace the book in the dorms with another book to remove the roots, I have the red book froom room 1 as well, NOTHING happens. I've also used tjolt on the plant and poisned it. I am stuck

To get the needed symbols for that door you've to examine the Sigil-Claw. If you don't have this claw, switch to the shield puzzle first.

As a player of original RE and RE remake, I commend you and your wondrous efforts. You've done a magnificent job on re-creating the survival horror so unique to the original concept! Moreover, as someone who's played the original and re-make through, I could follow through most of your edition from know-how only. Such dedication and loyalty to the source material. This. Mod. Is. Magnificent! Thank you, a thousand times, for making it!

I think you have to deactivate/unsubscribe it, then create a new savegame (in an interior cell), and then activate/subscribe it again. Probably its enough to remove TheEvilMansion.bsa and .esp from the data folder of Skyrim, before you do the save and move them back then.

So I'm up to the part where you take the T-Jolt report from the bookshelf and you are supposed to find a button, but there is no button for me. I was stuck since I didn't know there was supposed to be one and I had nothing to do, so I looked up walkthroughs and everyone had found buttons. Please help

I install Nexus-downloaded mods manually, with LOOT for some added organizing, so I should be fine.

I think it shouldn't be a problem, the .esp and .bsa files from steam should overwrite the files from nexus. Savegames are also compatible if you used v4.0+.
To be sure i would take a look into the "Data" folder that you have only 1 "TheEvilMansion.esp" and ".bsa"

I'm just not sure what happens if you've activated this mod with Nexus Mod Manager and also in steam... if it runs twice it will cause glitches.

Thats a bug, there are two ways which should fix it.
1. If you don't mind to load a savegame before you took the key, you could take it again, and hopefully the needed script is working then.
2. Or you can use console "tcl" fly bellow the special door and press the red button floating around there.

I am having problem with the Special key not opening the special door. All the way up till this point the mod worked great and was a blast to play. I have the key in my inventory and I verified this.

You could try to set down the grafics, the mainbuilding is very huge maybe to much to get loaded with high detail.
A Worldspace conflict would result in a crash when you are approaching the mansion, not when you open the front door, that must be something else.

Broken. I have no mods that conflict with the worldspace and yet every time I open the front doors to the mansion it crashes my game to desktop.
