Ok guys, the mod DOES work, and never stopped. When you launch the game, on the left side of the screen click HW2 Classic (as this mod shows up in a separate tab). Then, click the mod, add it like normal, and on the bottom of the screen there is a text box labeled COMMAND ARGUMENTS. Paste this:
-nopbuffer -hardwarecursor -w 1920 -h 1080
and then launch, and the game should work fine. I've had issues sometimes with tabbing out sometimes causing the screen to get cut off, but it otherwise works great

@Pepsi Cola the mod DOES work. you have to put -nopbuffer -hardwarecursor -w 1920 -h 1080 into Commandline Augments

I can still play it but it is know that they have moved there focus onto a HW3 version thats knew and might be the sole reason I buy HW3 which is maybe the modders can save it.

I'm seeing mixed sayings, so even though it hasnt been updated in awhile it I can still play it right?

It is disappointing they abandoned this mod. At least a new one for HW3 is coming out.

my game runs this mod fine still, i don't see any issues. it only crashes for me if i don't select a race...

Seems like the mods are dying out due to no longer getting supported.

shame I was just thinking about getting into this game again haven't played this in a long time, but I always found the vanilla game to be rather boring, with mods is so much much more fun.

All support for this mod is gone. If you want to launch the mod without it crashing you need to put -nopbuffer -w 1920 -h 1080 into the command line

You really expect people on Steam to be smart enough to go join the Discord or do any research themselves? Some of these people don't even read previous comments or check the Updated dates at the top of the page.

Everyone needs to understand that this mod has been officially discontinued years ago, and the Homefront channel on Chokepoint's discord server was removed. The idea of a reboot is being floated ("Homefleet" possibly for HW3) but this isn't getting revived y'all lmao

Can someone tell me if the mod stopped working completely. If so, is there any way to still play it?

Given their Stellaris team just updated Sins of the Prophets for Stellaris, I'm sure eventually their Homeworld team will maybe get around to doing it as well.
