It's a shame, this mod looks really good so far. and yet it stays unfinished for getting on for a year now.

It should work with any version of homeworld remastered...maybe the changed something really big which has destroyed the mod or you should start the game as administrator.

To a: As far as I know it, Formations can only be modded in. You have extra files for it to mod and they have fixed values. So I dont think its really possible maybe after some try and error. Also you have to give these formations to the ships via their files.

To b: Thats a problem of the remastered version, they have something "new" in it, because they rewrite almost everything in the gameplay and with that new rewriting, they destroyed this staying in formation. I already looked over it in the old homeworld and homeworld 2 but didn't find anything useful, maybe there is already a mod out there dat does it?

2 things, it currently doesnt seem to run, gave me an "access violation" error. Which version of the game is it compatible with? and also, it would be awesome if you, or anyone ele made a mod that both:
a. allowed you to create your own formations
b. made your fighters, corvettes, frigates, etc. stay in formation!

Well they not really updated that much, but what they did destroyed the Kadesh Multi Beam Frigate. If I wouldnt use that Ship maybe it would work.

experienced the same as Darenkel when encountering the Kadeshi since they updated. "acces violation". its weird tough, in gardens of Kadesh the error does not occur. it crashes "acces violation" when loading cathedral of Kadesh. i circumvent it at the moment with just disabling the mod with the Kadeshi's and re-enabling it afterwards.
i have not tried it after your last update tough, so it just might work fine now again in the HW1 Campaign

again, love the mod!. i dont mean to complain either, i know its an pain in the ass to correct the Lua's when they update the game.

its most likely a syntax error, check filenames vs those you are using for your mod assets. atiloglxx.dll can also cause it but it wouldnt happen just on kadeshi. i have done the same thing a thousand times with hw2 editing LUA files. script names and the like, when you check the dump file if its a read issue thats almost definately syntax. nothing to be ashamed of though lua is a pain to code in.

Okay thats no Bug from my Mod. Yesterday I could play as Kadeshi without any problems and Gearbox patched HW RM

Before I used the locale patch, only the Turanic Raider 'carrier' had a name. After applying the fix and following the directions to the letter, all Turanic Raider ships are $number.

thanx!. i got it working!. i resetted my HW1 campaign and now it shows correctly the Turanic Raider Research in Mission 3. ive been waiting for a long time for an mod that allowed me to construct Taidanii ships in the campaign. awesome mod!.

do you mean added them to the HW1 Campaign player buildlist?. or something else?. if so they dont seem to appear on my buildlist anywhere while i do get the other extra features of your mod.

without the mod hw works fine and with other mods i have. but with your mod it crashes at the loading screen for cpu matches :/ sucks man, i wanted to see your mod n stuff seems very cool

I put the locale folder in my HWR data folder then went into launcher and mods and put in the command line and launched the mod. Can ya tell me what I did wrong man?

I can play just fine, no errors or crashes on Player VS CPU matches and I play not over multiplayer. Campaign or remastered single

Your mod crashes at the load screen starting a CPU match man :/ and I have done the locale file and commandline solution. Is there a fix?

I have already encrypted them and overworked some Luafiles. Just Subscribe to this Mod and you will see it.

Actually, the toolkit *does* allow you to unpack the .big files. However, it does involve using command lines and such. Much easier to just use the tried and true unfbig utility which allows for easy unpacking and repacking.

Unfortunately gearbox added their own encryption to the core .big files (why?). Fortunately an enterprising fellow has already found a way to break that encryption and thus allow unpacking the .big files again.
