This mod finally bit the dust in 1.29 update, because the entire screen goes black with light yellow hazes here and there

When I edit the mod version in the files and then try to start up a game of eu4, it just crashes.

No bold borders version? Only water, shadow etc?

@BloodRaziel Please exuse mi idocy, I've asked many people for help with this before but I've never understood. How exactly do I modify it? I've tried changing the "21" to "24" as someone told me and nothing happened. I tried to ask for help on reddit and still didn't understand... Could you please, please, give me a step-by-step guide on how to modify the version? My life is incomplete without this mod.

Just letting you guys know that this mod still works fine in 1.25, you only need to modify the version of mod with any editor

Great mod, been using it for years. Doesn't need to be updated, works just fine.

@FuscusNight I can see a 21, I changed it and I've absolutely no idea what that changed, the mod still ain't ironman compatible.

@FuscusNight are you saying open up the .zip file with notepad? Because I dont see a specific file to alter.

You can guys easilly still make it work, just go to Documents - Paradox Interactive - Europa Universalis 4 - Mod - gfx_overhaul_ironman . Open it with a regular notepad, scroll to the right untill you find version number, like for an example "1.21" and then simply change the number to the current version of EU4 and boom it works.

To the creator, this map mod is the best mod ever , been using it for a long time and will never return to the vanila map mode.

I really miss playing the game, but I can't stand the vanilla textures after this beauty

The fact that I can't use this mod is most probably why my weekly hours spent on the game went from 18-26, to about 0-3, 5 if lucky.

Pls, if someone's listening update the mod (maybe ask the creator for permission to do it as a separate mod and give him most/all credit)

You need to copy these files:
1- gfx_overhaul_ironman.zip
2- gfx_overhaul_ironman.mod

to C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod

Then you need to edit the game version in those files:
1- gfx_overhaul_ironman.mod
2- Descriptor.mod "this file is inside the compressed file gfx_overhaul_ironman.zip"

the line that needs to be changed is: supported_version="1.22.*.*"
