There's probably more issues in it I forgot or haven't found in my playthrough of the whole mod. Keep in mind that I do like this mod and like what it's trying to achieve. I made this long list to help you search in specific areas you need to fix up to polish the mod up better or fix any bugs, glitches, texture problems, lighting or reflection issues, AI problems, map issues, etc. I hope you read this and check the problems because you got some good stuff in there. Please fix some of it up because it's got a lot of potential to be one of the best Beta mods.

And then when you start fighting the Combine in the iconic broken streets and building with the lovely LG Orbifold playing in the background, the gameplay is still fun. But when you go to the Horse statue, the Strider there is just standing there waiting to die for no reason other than to just exist and stare and die. Which leads to me getting lost and to be honest, I just cheated my way through the ground to the next section because I got tired of the mod fucking me up at times.

Then there was a Gonome that was just dead in the bottom of the building where we find the injured guy so the addition was overall very random. Then after when we arrive over to the inside of the "Nexus Point" as Barney calls it each time we see it, the minute you get inside the building from the side, the textures inside become fucked. Textures either being in the wrong place or just straight up missing textures splattered over some areas.

Then later when going down into the sewers, we get through it like normal but then get the Beta Hydra clip we all know and love but end up knocked out and skipped ahead which is ok. But then the issue is the Bullsquid, if you get killed by the Bullsquid there then you get soft locked on the ground even if you make more than one quick save or manually save. So you end up either having to reload a save before that part when you encounter the Hydra or you reload the same map to kill the damn Bullsquid.

Now as I navigate my way out of that section and the chapter itself, both Barneys just decide to fuck off from existence and peace out. Now the next section where we wait for Alyx to open the gate is fine but one side has no Combine coming through till the end. Which was a bit off but it made it easier in the end so I can let that slide. But what looks completely out of place is the random platform you gave to go across the missing bridge where Alyx said there used to be a bridge at. When you cross it to the other side, you end up seeing the map just not being there so you just go back the standard way. But this random platform you put looks weird, and it doesn't mesh well with the area.

Now as if that's not bad enough, we get through the toxic irradiated water area just next to the holdout area we stop at and then into the next chapter. Now there's 3 Barneys. 3 with one of them going to the blue door, leaving me with 2 Barneys still following me. And uh, more random textures sprinkled in some areas. Then the Conscripts just start shooting the head crabs flying into the abyss from the other building since you got rid of the fast headcrab canister that usually is scripted to show up there in favour of Barney chilling at the aforementioned blue door.

Now after that, we find Barney after we get through the chapter with the shit ton of mines sprinkled all over like confetti. We can find Barney taking cover with an SMG1 in his hand, you take out the enemies throughout the chapter but as you go into the next chapter? Well, he doubles himself, like multiplying man from the CW The Flash or some shit. Now we got 2 Barneys following us, cool. Then I start seeing random textures that don't belong after in certain areas.

Speaking of which, the Combine Assassin is cool but they sometimes T-Pose when standing still or trying to take cover of any kind so it just looks like a L4D2 mod of the Payday Gang with no animations.

Then when we finally get back to City 17, the first citizen we normally see come to us at first to join us in our battle kinda shows up but just ignores us later on when we get closer to them when they're supposed to follow us. Then when one of the Conscripts who wears a gas mask is supposed to follow us but when he does and supplies us with ammo, he supplies me with one Smg1 ammo. 1, I tell you. 1.

Then after when done with Highway 17 and Sandtraps chapter, the Depot you had was going through the railing. Then when you switched maps to be the Depot, the old route in the sewer entrance we enter Nova Prospekt from in retail HL2 was still there but the map was missing and you just fall out of the map if you got further than where the floor cuts off after climbing the ladder.

Then the Combine Guard that replaces the Antlion Guard boss fight in Nova Prospekt is bugged because sometimes he'll shoot and attack but then do the animations to attack and shoot but nothing goes off. So he kinda just stands there awkwardly trying to attack but does nothing, the Combine Guard even chased me out of the room when I tried to leave but the Antlions killed them while I ran off to kill the rest of the Combine and Combine Assassin.

Then another issue I saw happening was in Ravenholm just before you are met with Father Grigori, there is a zombie to the right blocked by boards and he just kinda stands there awkwardly for you to kill them since they don't break the barricades. Oh and there is some random platforms just up in the sky when Grigori shoots a fast headcrab with the Annabelle. Which looks kind of out of place.

After when going out in the coast, there was one issue I encountered when fighting the gunship when you cross the broken bridge. You can't get enough speed to get over the gap even if you boost or don't boost. I had to use an SMG1 grenade to pass the bridge or use cheats. Meaning abandoning the buggy.

Another thing to point out was there were moments that the lighting was still bright in certain areas when it was night time during Water Hazard's chapters. The Bullsquids are also very OP because they can kill you very fast with their poison addition making it worse. They sometimes either don't get hit registrations and have God mode somehow or just bug out and die or just stare rather than chasing you. Houndeye were also barely used in this which was disappointing since I would've liked seeing them more. Their attack is a bit bugged since the second they start making the preparing to attack sound, you can kill them but end up getting hurt in the end by them after they die.

Ok so I tried the new update you gave it and it's got some issues. First thing I noticed was the windows on the ceiling were able to be seen through the walls when going upstairs through the new way to go in the train station. Then when I got to the chase in the beginning, I saw part of the map missing when on the roof. But otherwise, it was fun and fresh.

Another issue is some textures throughout City 17 were either in the wrong places where they shouldn't be, some were missing, reflections or lighting was missing or the fact that the wasteland scanners were also missing some textures on them as well, even other assets also randomly missing textures.

I've played the newest release, and it's very polished so far. However, there are some bugs. The Bullsquid glitches while dying, and Cremator has some weird purple fluid over the incinerator gun. Also I've noticed in company with other mods, such as MMod, the custom particles don't work, but I suppose that's out of your scope so no problem. However, the Bullsquid and Cremator are something that I think could be fixed xc

Because of the new fashion, it doesn't work for me anymore.
When there are triggers on the d2_coast_12 map, and when I entered it into the console to go to Nova Prospekt the game crashes as I did not try to solve the problem, checked the integrity of the file, reinstalled, but the problem did not go away:steamsad:

I played again after the fixes, While sure, it's pretty scuffed but you really improved since release but I do have to say, You should patch up the void in ravenholm or just use the expanded version of ravenholm from overcharged. This was a good improvement though and I hope you make a version of this with the NPC's from this with the Dark Interval xen stuff: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3407506717

I understand that creating NPCs is difficult, but at the moment, creating NPCs using triggers is only a temporary solution to the problem. You can use the fgd files from Dark Interval or Raising the Bar Redux to create fully-fledged NPCs.
