Cool addon, now here's how to get free blood points;

1. go to file explorer, and go to steamapps > common > GarrysMod > garrysmod > data > gperks
2. go into the first notepad file, and change the blood points number to whatever you want
3. you did it already there is no third step

perk won't equip, keeps giving me Lua error

okay when i put +gperks_open_wheel it will show the perks on the front of the screen and it wont go away

Just noticed when I have this mod installed. Any ARC9 weapons dont deal any damage to props. I can't destroy a supposed destructible prop like boxes etc. I haven't tested it on other weapon bases yet.

why are bloodpoints even a thing in the first place though i dont play gmod to grind

@IgnitedRadium thanks for the ideas, i made perks too expensive because i don't want to players unlocks all perks in a day, its kinda boring and loosing the meaning of bloodpoints. I also maybe make an addon that boosts your BPs, like Player Kill = 55 + 300 or something like that

With all that in mind, do know that this is still a fun addon to play with, i genuinely hope to see it improve better then ever in the future, might also pitch some perk idea's and balance suggestions later in the discussions tab

Neat concept but don't you think the perk costs are a little too expensive? i mean you'd have to kill a player around 10 times minimum just to get one basic tier perk, and with how many perks you'd have to purchase you'd be grinding for them all day, i feel like you could tweak the numbers to something like this:
NPC kill = 750 BP
Player kill = 1000 BP

-Basic = 500 BP
-Advance = 1000 BP
-Special = 2000 BP
-Elite = 3000 BP
-Unique = 4000 BP
-Ultimate = 5000 BP

some other constructive criticism i could share off the top of my head is:
-Better and less clunky menu UI (highlight currently equipped perks, darken perks not yet purchased, organized the perks based on their tiers from Basic to Ultimate)
-Some Admin Commands/options like changing how much Blood Point's a player currently has, how much BP a player/NPC provides on kill, disable/enable certain perks

add a console command like gperks_menu. otherwise it won't work in other modes. also for example map sweepers, TTT and others.

If this is your first time with the Garry's Mod community, you're coming in AFTER Nintendo made such a stupid decision of DMCAing EVERY Nintendo mod on the workshop which Garry's Mod (and Valve as well since Steam is their platform) took them all down which infuriated the community because "they claimed it was being stolen" when it was on the workshop for years.

I think It would be cool if this addon had a config menu so someone could change how much perks costs or give themselves bloodpoints

My comment can seem "harsh" because if someone can recognize the scratches which one of the perks is based off, they shouldn't have had an issue recognizing the layout for the perks or how said perks are bought with the mod.
You can't claim one aspect of a mod is "stolen" and completely ignore what the whole concept of the mod was based on because it wasn't trying to hide it.
It's the same as making the bold claim that Map Sweepers was "stealing ideas from Helldivers 2" when the description of that mod straight up says that it's "inspired by Deep Rock Galactic/Helldivers 2"

Brendan, stealing, in the modder sense, is deliberately scraping something, without any adjustment or modification, in an attempt to garner profit or fool others into applauding work they in fact, did not contribute.

Instead, this person has had to code the entire perk from a rather raw outline in the sometimes unreliable source engine. This is porting and modification, ergo: modding! Stealing denotes negative context, which shouldn't be present, thus Hawkins (Albeit a tad harsh) reaction.
