When you leave the game, I assume it takes the time, and applies it onto your map.
It does work based on what time you play Garry's Mod, I think. So morning if it's morning, dusk if it's late. Dead night, if it's late enough outside.
I'm assuming that all time is the same between all maps, for example, if I load into gm_construct and it's night, it'll also be night on gm_genesis or gm_bigcity
although, I'm not sure when it becomes night, the color of the sun changes, it might just be white during night because CSM didn't update the color of the sun.
