@HentaiHamster Glad its working, I built this mod midway through a pretty far in play through without issue. If it stops working again for you let me know, i'd be shocked to hear of a compatibility issue

This is exactly what i needed to make special prisoners restless hobos around my colonie. Thank you very much. This will fit perfectly with the grudges i hold.

@colin so I kept all my mods and used dev test and for some reason it worked perfectly. I think maybe it was my save game or something, maybe enabling mid playthrough affected it somehow. I wasn't too far into a new game though and already lost a bunch of stuff so i'm just gonna start a new game and see if it works still, thanks!

I use Imprisonment on the go and prison labor in my playthroughs. Can you try a dev test real quick, put a colonist and a prisoner right next to a post? Then try to tie. Sometimes distance can be an issue if the colonist has a significantly faster walk speed than the prisoner
HentaiHamster 3. juni kl. 16:31
@colin Yeah the colonist moves towards the prisoner and directs them to the post, but just never actually tethers them, they both kinda go their separate ways at the caravan spot. The only other prisoner mods I have is arrest here (like imprison on the go), custom prisoner interactions, and prison labor. im gonna try to disable the last two and see if maybe that could be a problem, idk.

@HentaiHamster Vanilla behavior blocks roping from human pawn to human pawn. In the mod the colonist will "escort" the prisoner to the hitching post. When you click 'Tie' your colonist should approach the prisoner, and walk them toward the hitching post. Once the colonist reaches the post the prisoner should be tethered to the post. Unless you have a mod that specifically targets hitching, there should be no compatibility problems, as I am not aware of any mod that touches this functionality. Does the colonist begin to move toward the prisoner when you right click tie?

doesn't seem to work for me. i click tie up and the prisoner follows but my pawn doesn't actually tie up the prisoner. I'm not getting any errors or logs for it either. Any ideas on mods that might be incompatible?

YES! I asked for this mod in the Rimworld Discord server, I'm glad you actually made it. This is amazing

bruh this needs to be vanilla
colin  [ophavsmand] 28. maj kl. 7:32
@Croctus I made this because I had searched for it everywhere and couldn’t find anything. Can’t believe someone hadn’t already made it
Croctus 27. maj kl. 22:51
Was watching AdamVSEverything's stream and someone mentioned something like this as a mod idea. Went looking and lo and behold you've already made exactly what I'm looking for.
Arthur GC 27. maj kl. 9:19
@colin No worries, I'm a new modder myself as well. Cheers!

Patched
colin  [ophavsmand] 27. maj kl. 8:21
@Arthur, Oops. This is my first mod, ever. I will patch when I get home from work!
Arthur GC 27. maj kl. 6:54
@colin It's 22MB because you forgot to remove the source code from the mod files. The actual mod is 534KB.
Hanzo790 27. maj kl. 5:19
22MB for hitching Prisoners? wtf
lol 26. maj kl. 21:05
great idea!

suggestion: rope prisoners in bulk on the way to spot
homescar 26. maj kl. 16:11
i love lightweight mods with compatibility and no requirements :goodhero:
colin  [ophavsmand] 26. maj kl. 10:34
@AkkBar Non-Animal pawns are restricted from being roped to pawns internally. I could patch to remove this restriction, but that could cause unforeseen issues with regular animal roping. Trying to keep this mod super lightweight and non-invasive. Its currently compatible with anything and has no requirements.
AkkBar 26. maj kl. 9:13
Is there any way to animate prisoners so that they are roped back to the base like animals?
Peryn [Андрій] 25. maj kl. 23:59
the best!
