@Nyanzu Mimi-chan is gived to Marisa by Yumemi, after Yumemi beign defeated. Yumemi seems to have different artillery or some stuff, and well, she literally gived her a talking rocket

ZUN really loved BALLS in the pc98 era, Marisa had those rainbow orb balls back then

I thought it was because the first design the PC98 didn't have that specific yellow for Marisa's hair so he went with red
