The visual effect would be really cool, but it'd not be super easy to implement, and it would probably take a ton of tuning to feel right. I'll spend my time fixing my broken mods before I add something like this.
...man, why on earth does The Nightmare have to use such a horrible ID.
@RandomReshiram, The easiest option would be to have a single checkbox like "enable slugcat-specific modifiers" and simply have all the slugcat-specific fears be hard-coded. But that would be annoying. I'm actually concerned about scope creep even for a mod as tiny as this.
If it helps at all I have actually been brainstorming what these variations in fear would be for each slugcat based on speculation and lore, just for fun, which I could share!
Simple mods like these tend to make for the best mods imo!
(sometimes my genius is.. its almost frighting ',:3)
Jk
@Erratic Pulse, Sorry that I don't understand your comment. I don't intend to mock you; I just thought it was funny. Would you like to clarify?
But more significantly: 2. It would be a lot of work to implement. The hyperventilation is about as simple as: "hyperventilation time left = 2 seconds" when Watcher is calming down from a fright. I can really only reuse behaviors and animations already in the game. I guess maybe Hunter's seizures might work? ...still, I'm lazy, lol.
