@rjawbery A. because its iconic to the perception of Funky Kong in the fandom

B. because it was a move that fit well within the playstyle VViz and I wanted to give him (aggressive rushdown character with minimal ranged play but strong burst movement)

C. the other possible options I could have done would have either looked very clunky or had gone against the playstyle I wanted him to have

Latest ROA update deleted the 2nd hit of forward tilt, might wanna fix the move

Just found out the game's update kinda indirectly nerfed Funky by having his two-hit forward tilt reduced to a single hit and it ruins like 5% of his combo potential, tbh.

Still a fun time though!!

Very fun character! My one piece of feedback is that it'd be nice to have further UI feedback with Up-Special. Not necessarily to make getting the cancel timing free, but more to give players who miss it an idea of how much they were off by. I feel like that would make Funky a lot more accessible without hurting his skill ceiling. Besides that minor preference thing, 10/10 great character as always!

I've downloaded and played a ton of Rivals of Aether mods over the years. This is by far one of the highest quality and most fun characters I have played. AMAZING stuff, I'm hooked.

This Funky ROCKS, he played like a love letter to DK's regular smash movement but with so many cool flourishes and adaptations.
He's also just so much fun in general, especially with how dramatic his voice is in gameplay.

Great stuff, I've no qualms or criticisms at all aside from maybe changing the voice setting to be on by default.

@BSMOOTH37 if you havent tried already I recommend Maverick as a more "Donkey Kong" type fighter, having the monkey punch cargo throw and ding dong combos
